Would be nice not having to switch between Garmin topo's and OSM.

One way to make this very easy is to create 2 different Profiles. Set each one up exactly how you like them, and then place a shortcut to each from each other. You can very quickly swap between them at the touch of a button.

Re: Caching genealogy

Yes I thought the geneology was more who introduced you to it. Of course, you could have been introduced by randomly finding a cache by accident in which case the hider would be your parent. Otherwise it's whoever got you into it, which could now be hard to trace given the media exposure. Is the lo...

Re: Have we hit mainstream?

Did they say geo kay shing or geo cash ing ? :-" I know it's not the correct pronunciation, but I always call it geo kay shing ... but then again, how often do the phrases 'correct pronunciation' and 'American English' get heard  How often do you hear "pronunciation" pronounced incorrectly? #-o

Re: Oregon Question

Hi LouiseAnn, are your FOUND caches in GSAK highlighted as such? I think the default colour is yellow. If you use the macro and load a batch of caches which includes ones you have found, then those ones should be displayed on the map with the open treasure chest icon (or the smiley custom icon I thi...

Re: Can 2 geocachers each log the same find together?

In the competitive pursuit of FTFs, the members around my area, should they run into each other near GZ and end up searching together, tend to share the FTF honours, regardless of who actually spotted the cache first. Makes sense really, since searching as a group allowed the area to be more thoroug...

The forum (but not the site) is restricted/blocked at my workplace ...  Try this URL. http://geocaching.com.au/forum/ Same place, different format. Depends on how your workplace has set up its filters. Tried this last night - works ... at the moment ... It used to work before, but I susp...

Re: Oregon 450 issues with multi caches

These caches did show up, but when I tried to view the description, the unit locked up as described above: ANU Courtyard (GC39778) Leaning on a Lamp Post (GC3D2QE) War Monuments (GC3EHMJ) Tree of Knowledge (GC321TE) Yarralumla Wander (GC3cd2b) Basil's Yarralumla Meander (GC38Q6Q) I tried all the ab...

Re: Full Logs

"Covert Hypnosis" was the longer cache name in the circle of cachers I spent a lot of time caching with, Followed closely by "Black Legend" and "Kelly Haunts". Since then I have abbreviated it to "C@H". .... which I always interpret initially as caught@home Me Too! :D ... He would NEVER be caught a...

 If you check the logs for those trackables, you will likely identify him at least by cacher name, and then you could PM him a personal thankyou!

Hope you get well soon. :D

Re: Should this be a valid find ? (GC)

I should of also mention the note included the cache would be re-installed "with a NEW blank log book". I have been following this topic with interest, and I think particularly this bit is a tad unfair. The cache WAS first found by Covert after all! I don't think the solution is to share the FTF ei...

My nearest unfound is only 0.96 km away, but 5.5 metres underwater!
I have 5 found within that radius.

Paddling/diving adventure, anyone?

Earthbound Chief poised to join Club 366 ...

Looks like Earthbound Chief is set to do his best, heading for 365 CONSECUTIVE DAYS of caching tomorrow! =D> \:D/

Has to wait until Feb 29 to complete the table ... will he continue a consecutive run? :-k
