Re: Cache difficulty/terrain ratings
Yep I agree with Waldron on this rating. I just believe some remote caches don’t get treated with the terrain rating they deserve because people seem to think that because someone can drive up to them they should have a low terrain rating regardless of the environment. A terrain rating in populated ...

Re: Cache difficulty/terrain ratings
It always gives me a chuckle when I read someone comparing driving down to their local park with an extreme 4WD drive into one of Australia’s deserts as the same sort of terrain challenge. When we did “Under the shade of the Coolibah Tree” there was a sign on the front door of the police station at ...

Re: 'Finding' Archived Caches
Without the APE icon there wouldn’t be much point replacing the cache. Not sure if Groundspeak would allow someone to adopt it. However the tourism from around the world would be something to see if you could get it reinstated. I know I would be over there as soon as I could get there. It looks like...

Rats
We dont appear to have a cache placement for South Australia in March 2001.
Alex you have some explaining to do.
It appears that this is the only monthly gap this state has since it started caching in 2001.

Re: The Aussie top 100 bucket list
Well the Parrots sort of rate about 38 for this as I am going to claim the tracks one (61) because I think 2 out of 3 is a pass mark. There is no chance we will do all this list as we will never do number 28. I also think our cruise across Cable beach at Broome in a Pearl Lugger sipping wine and nib...

The Aussie top 100 bucket list
I see today in news.com that Australian Traveller magazine have put out a bucket list. It states "100 Things To Do Before You Die features destinations picked by a panel of well-known and well-travelled Australians, including Lonely Planet founder Tony Wheeler, George Negus and Catriona Rowntree." L...

Re: Courteous Cacher
Beyond the obvious benefit of the corrected coordinates showing at the top of the log is there any advantage to ticking the corrected coordinate box. Usually people will document in a log the reason why they are supplying a different coordinate than the one listed and supply that coordinate. I dont ...

Re: You know you're a Geocacher when............................
You find yourself saying you doent seem to have the drive for geocaching that you used to now you have hit 5000 then try to back that up by saying you have only found 300 caches since then.

Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.
I’m not sure why those who are 100 percent on board with this event and not on the committee are posting here surely they have a thread where they made it clear they want the happy comments to go. It was asked to take this discussion to another thread which has occurred. If they don’t care about tho...

Show me the quote that says this thread represents all South AustraliansAs for SA being spoken for, I would like to speak for myself as I am not privy to the silent conversations going on behind closed doors attempting to represent ALL of SA.

Re: Concerns re 2012 Oz Mega.
If people don't want to attend does anybody care - NO We firmly believe it is the right of the organiser to host an event in the manner they choose, it is their event and their creation. In a potential situation where this event doesn't achieve mega status this thread might be useful, to look back ...
