My dad ha a navman, not sure version. I borrowed it to try for caching. To add a POI file it has to be plugged to the computer and you have to manual create them. On his you are unable to navigate to co-ords, where as a Tomtom allows you to enter co-ords to navigate to. So it would work but require ...

Colorado 300 cache log
I have noticed that when I use log cache option on the Colorado and then come home and look at the text file the date is correct but the time is out. The unit is set with correct date and time. For example I tested 1 today and logged at 11.29 am by my watch and gps. I then plugged to the computer an...

If you plug your GPS into the computer and browse the folders like on your hard drive you will find 1 called GPX all the caches are saved in there by there GC number. No easy way to tell which ones you have found and which ones you havent. I just delete mine every so often and put caches on that I i...

I purchased the Colorado 300 and have added city navigator maps, not NT and they work great. It comes with base world maps but they are average for here. I am very happy with my unit that I imported from the US coup,e of months ago for $500au. Just 1 point when setting up you select NONE for map dat...

I purchased the Colorado 300 a couple of months ago. Very happy with it. It appears to be a new version of the 60CSX. It comes with base maps for the world. They are not very good for here but would get you from major town to town. I purchased city navigator to go with it. The unit I imported from t...

sorry, at 400mb of data they're just too big to put online. Bigpond only allows 20mb  And includes uploads as part of your bandwidth allowance, so you can't create a torrent. And doesn't bother telling existing customers about upgraded plans with higher speeds/more bandwidth for the sa...

Maps Calibration for Ozi
Hiya all!! I have a copy of the CFA Maps for Victoria on 2 CD's. I have tried calibrating a CFA Fire map by using the grid on the map (which I assume is AGD66) and loading both WGS84 and AGD66 logged tracks. Both are out by the 200 odd metres NE/SW that would be expected. I noticed on a forum somewh...

I landed this morning from a 2 week cruise around South Island NZ in the motorhome. I used Ozi and a map I found on the web. I downloaded all tracks and waypoints each night onto the laptop.. and I now have a lovely track all around the South Island.. including the boat trip on Milford Sound.. the h...

Thanks for the comments. I was just a bit unsure about the accuracy but I'm quite happy now seeing as it appears to be behaving normally. I leave for NZ tomorrow for 2 weeks cruising the South Island in a motor home. I'll just chuck one of those AUSPOS things on the roof and away we go!! Already got...

Geko accuracy!!
Just a query as to what sort of accuracy people get with their Geko!?? I've got a Geko 201 and the best that I have seen the accuracy is 3M Got a mate with a Magellan 2000XL and his EPE gets down to 0M Doesn't make any difference when we are caching as we can still find what we are after. I'm in Vic...
