Re: Garmin Map60CSX on/off button not functioning.
When my 60CSx has been in the sun for a while, or just hot from being inside the van, my on/off button is very spongy, it requires a very deep press of the button to turn it on. Mine is about 5 years old though. My 3 year old GPS60 does this as well, I use a car key to turn it on and off.It is fine...

Re: Trig points - a general discussion
I "found" a Trig in Bowen (Nth Qld) recently but it isn't listed. I'm sure I've seen it listed before (otherwise I wouldn't have known to go and look for it). Is it possible to view archived trig points?

If you want to reduce the chance that they will end up as cache containers, why not drill a few holes in the sides and lids to make them less attractive?
Why bother? they leak anyway .

Re: DNF on muggled caches
A DNF log dosn't bother me but obviously it's importent to some, I saw the profile of an overseas cacher that had over 1000 finds and zero DNF's.I seem to run about 1 in 10.Maybe we should have a DNF Pathtag to commemorate 50 or 100 DNF's.

Re: Is it okay log log a 'virtual' find for a nano cache?
The log in most nanos is wrapped around a metal pin, simply use the magnet in the base of the container to lift the log out. Cheers. and where in the " guidelines of geocaching , any site, does it advise to wrap our nanos log around a metal pin? 'MOst' nanos are stuffed with scraps of paper pulp.th...

Re: TrigPointing
I have seen only a handfull of "proper" trig points in Australia over the last 45 years. Earlier this year I spent 10 days in New Zealand and I saw dozens of lollypop type trigs just sitting beside the road, there're everywhere! I would not be suprised if there ARE 107,477 of them in NZ (or should t...

Re: TrigPointing
Hey c@w, I have noticed that some trig point flags on the maps are covering cache flags. I can see some cache owners would not be happy with this situation. Would it be possible to change the TP flag, perhaps turn it upside down, to prevent this?
