Re: Garmin Australian Topo V Garmin City Navigator NT

Do you have a Dakota 20? I'm just trying to put some caches on there but other then going through the mygarmin website which is extremely slow, I've got no idea how to do it so it shows up as geocaches and not just waypoints. (Currently I'm uploading them from mapsource onto the gps).

Garmin Australian Topo V Garmin City Navigator NT

Hey

Looking at both the Topo maps and the Navigator maps from Garmin, just wondering which one is better for caching? Basically I'm looking for something that will direct me while I'm driving to a cache.

Thanks

Tegs

Re: Calabraiting my Garmin 60CSx

Thanks for all your help guys, so I did a complete reboot, reloaded everything onto it, made sure all the setting were correct (stuffed up twice doing this), recalabrated the compass (and I completely agree about it being stupid having to recallabrate a compass more then once, unless you're changing...

Re: Calabraiting my Garmin 60CSx

Calabraiting my Garmin 60CSx

Hey I've got a Garmin 60CSx and I've found that when I'm going for a cache the arrow will point away from the cache I'm heading towards. And it's the same with the actual map itself, I chose a cache where I knew the location of, and the map just kept saying it was in a different direction and so did...

I'll put my hand up and say that I'm guilty of doing this, but it was because I had split away from the joint account me and my ex had, so that I could have my own one and do my own caching. Best to ask before you start deleting, if it's a case of a split up of a joint account then fair enough, if t...

Thanks so much for all your help, I've decided to go with the 60CSx. I think it's probably going to be more durable and last longer then the Quest, plus I was looking at the Quest for getting to the right street then to where the cache is, but if the 60CSx can pretty much do the same thing I can alw...

Well saying that the eTrex Legend HCx would be the latest version of the eTrex's then, and it looks pretty good too actually plus it's got the bonus of having the cable to go with it and the coloured screen which is always nice.

60CSx v Quest

I'm currently looking at buying my first GPS, I've used a Quest before which I liked, but I'm not to sure if I want to get a Quest or a 60CSx Has anyone used both and which one did they prefer? I'm thinking the 60CSx will be good for those frequent sideways trips down hills and trees while caching b...

It's a shame that this is happening, and I really have trouble believing that someone would actually take the time and effort to find a cache just to trash it, that's a lot of effort just to destroy stuff, if they're really that bored and are against the whole "littering thing", I know plenty of hig...

I'm on GC as that's where most of the cahces are, on GCA because it's easier to search for Australian caches on there... plus the stats... plus the forums. And from there, linking profiles is a logical optional feature to use. Lol, for me it's the forums. I think stick to one name (even if it's bee...

A. Depending on the person, but usually because being at home is boring and there's nothing on TV, and they're not creative enough to go do something like go camping on the Cotter... Which isn't a bad idea actually. Or they're just looking at getting lucky with a drunk person of the opposite sex... ...
