Re: How to change username and password

"If you also want to update your forum name to match, please let us know in this thread and we'll get a faeries onto it. That's not a self-service function at the moment."

Could you please change my forum name to align with my caching name. Please change it to vk7hch

Thanks in advance.

Logging GCA caches from GSAK

Hi, I have searched here and the GSAK forum and can't find the answer to my question. I have seen the GSAK macro logcache log GCA caches, as well as the default GC ones, and want to know how to modify mine to do this. Thanks in advance

Hi neighbour, I take it you have tried all the standard things, like resetting the ADSL modem.<br> I was going to suggest clearing all cookies from the machine affected but then saw that it is affecting multiple machines. Give it a try anyway, what have you got to lose but caching time.

Congratulations on the PhD Dr Stanely, your study load would have made mine pale into insignificance. I am just one month into 18 month part time Cert IV Health (Nursing). Contact load is one full day per week, with 15 to 20 hrs home based study pw. This will actually be named as a Diploma course ne...

What is the voltage rating needed? Is it 5V 2A? If so, the hardest part will be finding a compatible power jack. The PSP and Explorist 500 (maybe other Explorists too) run off 5V 2A, Eric The PSP power supply is the correct rating (5V 2A), and the plug is a perfect fit, I was using one to charge my...

You can get hand cranked torch/radio/phone chargers these days, I am not sure of the efficiency of the charging circuit, but it may be worthwhile checking them out if you are extended away from traditional methods of charging. Not sure which makes/models are supported, but I know the standard Nokia ...

I also agree on LAN backup. After recently losing 2 hard drives, both 120Gb WD's, (both out of manufacturers replacement warrenty by 1 month!!) and one of them my backup drive, I decided that the redundancy of RAID 0 looked like an attractive solution. <br><br>I purchased 2 x 250GB Seagates, at arou...

Another possibility that I encounter occasionally is dirty contacts between the serial lead and the GPSr, you will see the same error if this condition exists. I just give the contacts of both a quick wipe with a cotton bud dipped in metho, fixes it straight away. Reminds me of an old tag line: brea...
