Had a quick look in GSAK...and at the moment I'm up to 116.25 years!

Re: Logging Archived Caches
I logged an archived cache yesterday, and a couple of hours later, the reviewer brought down the hammer, locking the page. It had been archived for over 2 years and had several finds and DNFs logged over that period. Why now? Having a look at the cache in question...the reason it has no doubt becom...

Re: New Aussie reviewer?
Do we have a new Aussie reviewer "Tchingal"? http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=cd5f1af2-9b40-4722-a26c-e6dd9cf15a60 Reads that way. "Indigenous astronomers: Tchingal – the emu in the sky." Sound like someone? The only one I can think of to bestow that title upon is the legendar...

Re: Find unloved caches in own finds?
It seems to work perfectly for GCA caches, but I just can't get it to work with GC ones. I get recent logs and upload My Finds queries but it just seems to a) Not come up with anything for the DateOfPreviousFind b) therefore only gives 0 for MonthsSincePreviousFind... :-\ Any ideas? :-$ You need to...

Re: Two million caches
Well done to the 2,000,000th geocache Overwatch #1 'GC46N4E' by rAMPant 1...published by theUMP =D>...located in the Northern Territory, Australia! I would hate to see the CO's incoming emails :D At the time of this post...the cache has 741 notes! http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details...

Re: Your geocaching goals 2013
Interesting Concept, and a different way of doing it. The NSW Association may look into it ;) The NSW association is already looking into it :D Half the time you don't know if they are unloved or muggled as so many don't seem to log DNFs. This isn't true of the more remote caches but when there's o...

Re: Your geocaching goals 2013
4. Continue to tackle the unloved challenge (we were at 3710 days last time I checked so a bit of a way to go!) What is that? Getting enough "unloved" caches - ie caches that havent been found for at least the previous 6 months to qualify to find/log this cache ... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ca...

Re: Is it just me?
It certainly doesn't annoy me...but if ever I did put out a large series the one thing I would be mindful of is making each prefix different to differentiate each cache on your GPS. But having said that...when usually doing a powertrail you just hit find next closest and go to it without really read...

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?
I think these fall into 2 categories: * Prearranged with the CO and a good idea * Not prearranged and misguided or self serving If the cache is gone then log a needs archiving log. These are not the aggressive attacks that many people make them out to be. They are a way of communicating something t...

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?
The only time I would replace a cache is if the cache container was cracked or broken etc. If there was no cache at all to be found...I would log a DNF and report a Needs Maintenance log, and leave it at that...unless I made prior arrangements with the CO beforehand. If there were multiple DNF logs ...
