Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Thank you for your prompt reply, it is appreciated. I followed the Wiki link before initially contacting you - it was the only way to get into this page! I still however, have the message on my cacher page and wonder whether there is anything else I should be doing
Thank you for all your hard work

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
I have a report that has appeared on the top of my cacher page that says emails from geocaching Australia have been disabled to my email due to a high number of failed emails. The site had disabled my username also. I have now managed to get my username recognised but still have the message re email...

Re: Caches in National Parks
Thanks caughtatwork and Richary for this info. We will now set to and place all the caches we've been planning in the Prom for the past year, keeping the fragile environment in mind at all times.

Caches in National Parks
What are the rules about caches in National Parks ?
18 months ago we were refused a cache in a NP in NSW and were queried about one we set overlooking, but not in, a NP, yet this morning we found 5 new caches set yesterday in Wilsons Prom NP

Re: Updating of missing Cache Logs
Thank you very much for the comprehensive instructions in uploading missing logs. We noted that all of our logs for October in from New Zealand took well over 2weeks to come through but we still had 11 missing - we now hopefully have all of them on board. Very much appreciated Jennifer & Richard (ak...

Re: Snakes, Snakes, Snakes
Caching in NSW near Berry at a lovely little deserted bush graveyard - "Peace Perfect Peace! 1st Oct. It was a very hot day where we were reminded of the dangers of caching once the heat hits! We returned to our car and commenced the drive off the grass verge only to have a huge black snake "fly" ou...

Re: TRIG Points and Geodetic Survey Stations
Thank you for that - we have a few more we photographed and will see if we can work out how to add them to the system - we also have photos etc of the areas because they are at lovely viewing spots but we didn't want to go too much further until we were sure we were doing the correct thing. We Very ...

Re: TRIG Points and Geodetic Survey Stations
Thank you so much for that and for the information re posting a photo Next thing - Should I contact the cacher and suggest to him to change the name to Greenwell Point Geodetic Survey Station as Crookhaven Heads Trig is technically incorrect? In which case is it likely that the "z" or sign would com...

Re: TRIG Points and Geodetic Survey Stations
Sorry further to the last comments and suggestions by Team Geoplesk - I don't know how to put a photo on the forum - but the best thing I can suggest to you is to look at Crookhaven Heads Trig Crookhaven, NSW, Australia S34° 54.156' E150° 46.096' which was set up by a cacher - this in fact is Greenw...

Re: TRIG Points and Geodetic Survey Stations
Thanks for your reply these geodetic survey stations are set up just like the trig points on a column with the circular disc above it - they are not the simple disks in the ground - they have brass plates set into the column explaining what they are - we could see no difference between these and the...

TRIG Points and Geodetic Survey Stations
Whilst away on holidays we came across many Trig Points and photographed them as an interest -on arriving home we have discovered Trig points have now become Aussie Caches. Logging we found a number we photographed not on the compiled lists - on closer look at the information on the photographs we r...
