Any cachers in Broome, WA?
Myself and a fellow geocacher will be in Broome in early June and we were wondering if there were any resident cachers living there to catch up with. It was a bit hard to tell from the hiders of Broome caches who was actually local!

Re: Launching Australia's First Ever Mega Event-Wagga Wagga 2010
Any idea as to when we might see those puzzle caches that start in each capital city and end at Wagga published? Unfortunately, we couldnt progress with that original idea and had to dismiss it prior to xmas. All the original teams organised to assist were emailed or phoned and explained the reason...

Caching buddy. She'd be upset if I left her at home.

Re: What have you found in a cache?
An already-scratched scratchie.
The paper label off a teabag.
A broken golf ball with the innards spilling out (looked like rubbery worms!)
Way too much food to list.
A pencil sharpener with no blade.
I confess to removing all of the above and not swapping - I had nothing of remotely equal value.

Re: Power Trails: an (ammo) can of worms
Wouldn't be my cuppa tea, but nor would be it be any skin off my nose if someone chose to do this and others wanted to participate. It might even lead to some geocaching tourism as competitive international cachers wanting to overtake their country's leading cacher fly over for a visit. And I do kno...

So, I hear there are a lot of new "locationless" caches further downstream after all the flooding... Special award for the Mega will go to the person who retrieves the highest number of floataways!

Re: Garmin - A tale of woes!
In December 2008 I purchased a Garmin Oregon 300 series with Mapsource and Oz Topo. It was purchased as our Vista C was worn out and the accuracy was going. I could be up to 10 m out of accuracy from a GZ compared to a new Oregon, Vista HCx, or a 76c. Slightly off topic, but I didn't know that the ...
