Re: Report GCA Site issues here

OK, please forgive my ability to think this out rationally at the moment, but my goggle reader just got hit with 433 RSS feeds from "All caches in Australia", consisting typically of a post looking much like this: Kulgera Tractor (Erldunda, Northern Territory, Australia) from All caches in Australia...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

Yes, indeed it does. I have to do it after logging in (bash with the ctr+F5 hammer) to convince it I mean it, AND after logging out, or it will just say I'm logged out... until I hit another GCA page and I'm back logged in! But I can live with using the hammer until I finally get around to the dread...

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

I have a really odd problem (no, NOT that one SamCarter)! I have access to three PC's at home, and the problem ONLY occurs on the one I really want to use for cache listing (lots of screen real estate). When I go to view a draft cache I am working on, it will only display whatever I had entered, up ...

Re: What is the Cheapest GPSr with Electronic Compass?

You'd probably be looking at this; the Garmin eTrex Vista H (octapc includes a USB cord and DVD of free topo maps), so around the $239 mark + p&h.

I just looked at a log photo by Team Wibble:

That is quite some antenna extension! Or is it for fending off competing First-To-Find-ers?!?
Sorry, couldn't help myself!

#15 The fully clothed guy with a topless young woman on each arm, heading in the opposite direction, who all nod a cheery greeting as they walk towards, then past you. This happened to me as a 16(?) year old walking out from Snug Falls in Tasmania with the family. The funny thing was my youn...

As I was missing these features also, I went for a bit of a look-see. These features are actually part of an Add-On to SmartGPX, as I have just discovered! See here. Very Nice!

Re: Geocachestore in Australia still in existance?

They still really need to get their webstore disabled if they are not sending out goods though. It must just be heaping more stress on them to still be getting new orders through the online shop when there are so many old orders still not sent out. It should only take a couple of mins to put a mess...

Re: Newbie thread: Which Garmin handheld GPS to buy?

Hi ftstn! I'm running a Vista HCx which I'm very happy with (Vista differs from the Legend in that it includes an electronic compass (no need to be moving to know which direction is north) and also a barometric altimeter for more accurate altitude information.) For a local "Hands-On" option there is...
