Great presentation Dave. Snifter and I enjoyed it very much and it brought back so many great memories.

We just replaced our old electric hot water service. The old tank was dated as installed in 1972, WOW even the installer of the new one was impressed. In the process of changing I learned a few things about Hot Water so here's my advice.......Screw the environmental bandwagon BS and buy an off peak ...

Maybe now, after reading this topic, people are understanding why we "The 2 Dogs" haven't been doing much caching of late. For us the rot set in a long time ago. It was appalling to us that so many were coming into the game and simply placing a film canister under a rock in their local playground ra...

I can't wait for "Hellboy 2" Ron Perlman Rocks!! http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=G_O0xYCy1cg Hounddog He he, very entertaining actor with a face for radio. You can say that again. He's probably one of the most unseen big stars on the planet if you know what I mean. But boy what a career the...

Sounds like a good reason to be looking for a new ISP, we were with AAPT and voted with our feet due to their poor customer service, G'day Swampy :) Seems to be the trend these days. I have never had much success at all with using ISP webspaces. Iprimus was terrible. I use TPG ADSL2+ now. The conne...

Re: OT - What About A Cache Up Here
I'd go up there for sure, but I would probably use that safety cable where available.muzza wrote:Check out this pathway. Imagine a cache at the end.
What would the terrain rating be, and would you go for it?

Ah Trig points. It's a nightmare of a job to keep track of them. Believe me I should know. Why SHOULD I believe you :?: and HOW do you know :) I set up the original Trig cache called "That's the Trig" The first of it's kind back then. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=c28...

I was a premium member of GC.com for a long time and what did I get out of it over and above a non paying member? a big fat ZIP. The truth is there isn't really any great benefit to being a member in Australia. Besides, who really wants to put down a cache and restrict who finds it anyway. I mean, h...

Re: Ftf
who gets the FTF someone who finds and signs first or someone who gets to the area and then logs a note saying they were in the area but could not retrieve the cache The irony of this is that it's quite often the first to the area of the cache who ends up not finding it for that reason. Sometimes i...

Alternatives? In dash mounted one. Even more distracting as you have to look further away from the road to see what it is saying. Interesting Point Richary. I used to own a Nissan X Trail. All the instruments are mounted in the centre of the dash. So you have to glance over there, even to check you...

I think it will be just a matter of time before anything mounted above the dashboard will be illegal. Back before GPS navigators were ever heard of. I used to mount my magellan behind the steering wheel but even this was distracting. The laws will be made even without the consideration that some geo...
