Re: Report Site Issues Here

We don't know anything about that event type from the GPX file that was imported. Depending on who imported it and the file version it's not in the GPX file as a standard event type. It's been changed to a standard Event Type now. When your log imported this morning it also came through as a Note, s...

Re: Gca on iPhone

Hi Richardy, but it’s not a direct communication to the web site, so you have to go and log on a computer when you get home, etc. maybe from field notes, but still not like a newbie Is going to understand that. They just want to find and log a cache We have an API that allows for almost anything (e...

Re: Movables

A cache that only accumulates points on a move will get moved from S37 45.000 E144 45.000 to S37 45.000 E144 45.001. There, now I've "moved it" but it's still in the same place for others to find "in the hands of". We tried in a previous game where the cache had to move more than 1km. At a major eve...

Not my birthday. As the principal developer I get all sorts of things :-) A free party hat is just one benefit.

Re: What's new on Geocaching Australia

Cool, sounds interesting. I just published a different type of chirp (doorbell) from info on the wiki. Always good to get a new idea. The trophy page looks good with footsteps counting down to the target. Is there a way to see how many are left to do under Mission "360 degrees". I realise it is pro...

Reverse Geocache Update

A Reverse cache is a type of geocache where a finder is guided to a specified location or target location with just a distance provided and no direction. At the final location, either a log book is revealed to be signed (for example, a box can be opened) or a logging requirement (such as a descripti...

Re: Deleting your own logs on GCA for GC caches

OK, sounds reasonable. Will be done for the next release. You can delete but not edit an external log.

Re: Deleting your own logs on GCA for GC caches

I can't recall every having the ability to edit logs from the GC site for general community members. You may have some administrative permissions in the past which allowed that to happen, but the code that detects whether the cache can be edited is rather old and restricts it to just the owner for a...

dragonZone Trophies Progress Bars

If you are a dragonZone member at Geocaching Australia there is something exciting on your dragonZone Trophies page. https://geocaching.com.au/my/dragonzonetrophies/ Each trophy will now interactively display (click to reanimate) a progress bar of how you are tracking to any particular trophy. If yo...

As per previous reply re Blitz...what is classed as a "unique geocache"? and who decides if it is?
Unique as in cannot be found more than once. This is to stop some of the less scrupulous people who will "find" a moveable cache 100 times just to get the points.

Re: Blitz

I have thoroughly read the rules of the game, and am looking forward to playing, but I do not understand it all. Is this a game where dragonzone clans compete with other clans, or is it a combined effort, where all clans get together and find caches? Not clan based. Everyone competes to meet the go...

Hi gurus

I have been checking out the new research "Gotta Find 'Em All" section and it doesn't seem to have picked up recent trig and trad finds in this section. Am I correct that thses finds should have been recognised?

Thanks
Danny (aka Luckyl10n)
I see them as being completed for you.
