Re: Jigsaw puzzles

If the image is a 3rd party site and it's not loaded into the gallery for the geocache, then no, nothing is needed. If you do load the image to the geocache gallery and it's not yours then, well, the problem is yours. If we get a take down notice, then we'll simply take it down. It's not our role to...

Re: cache rating

Sorry, I didn't get you wanted the summary value.

https://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga17738
Now the dropdown has the summary value and you can click to see the individual ratings.

Re: cache rating

The cache rating is on the cache page:
https://geocaching.com.au/cache/ga17738
Then click on the Ratings button to see them.

We do this as a speed hump so we only load data that people find useful immediately (bandwidth and processor limitations). Other data you can get to, you just need to click it.

Re: My Query limits

You have no limits to the number of queries you can store. They're simple database entries of a hundred bytes or so. No need to restrict something like that. If you leave the number of geocaches to return at 0 (or blank) it will default to 100. We want people to make a choice and not download everyt...

Re: 2020 Game of Games

You might also consider a set or cheap solar lights and set them up so that the "light" becomes the beacon, like a lighthouse. Then when they turn on at night you can follow the "beacons" to the final geocache. This could also be used as a night cache. You probably need to set this up where no-one g...

Re: 2020 Game of Games

Other cheap ideas are for anything that will broadcast a beacon. Buy a wireless door bell. Set the ringer up in a tree with the geocache at the foot. Set the button in another container a little way away. Give the co-ordinates to the button. The seeker finds the button and "wanders around" pressing ...

Re: 2020 Game of Games

For me, this was easy. I have a spare internet router (or 2 or possibly 3) from days gone past on various internet connection types. I simply plug in the router so it has power. There is no need to connect it to the internet. Then I connect my laptop to the router. Usually the name and password are ...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

Research tasks expire on Wednesday mornings at the darkest part of the night, when the Head Guardian is most relaxed. The Head Guardian is aligned to Geocaching Australia Eastern time zone and so research tasks will expire and be renewed at 00:00 each Wednesday morning. So on Wednesday, just for vi...

Not allowed. Disabled until it can be replaced with a physical container or it will end up archived.
