Re: TRLT (The Road Less Travelled) Series???

Windeyer has a "caravan park", detour to hill end for pub accommodation, rent a house cheap in sofala. Not sure about anywhere else.

Re: TRLT (The Road Less Travelled) Series???

If you want a free camp at the start (Mudgee end) Then look up a cache called TSR, great camping spot.

Midway or just past, wattle flat, or near sofala.

Re: TRLT (The Road Less Travelled) Series???

No worries, now get out and enjoy it, the countryside is starting to really green up out there at the moment.

Re: TRLT (The Road Less Travelled) Series???

Yes, there was 8 of us involved in creating this touring trail, we designed it to get people onto the quieter back roads, see some scenery they may never normally, experience a few small towns they probably have never heard of, take it easy over 2 days, almost no micros, ok, 2 from the 147 in total....

Re: Android Geocaching Apps

Swype comes native on the Galaxy S and yes, when I have used it, it is better than typing. As I don't have a data plan as yet, the adverts don't bother me, cause I never see them. The one thing that does bug me is the pregnant pauses my phone does quite often. I have seen rooted fixes for that, but ...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps

Papa, I have not rooted my phone, but, I must say the fixes out there to fix the phone lag are getting mighty attractive. Samsung have not announced if they will do a 2.3 for my Galaxy, though, have read that they said they would not and would only do 2.3 on Nexus S. Samsung were supposed to fix the...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps

Yes, updated to 2.2. I posted to the Cachemate forums, and the Dev said that would be about right. Gone are the days of a quick update before running out the door me thinks. IF, someone came up with a GUI to at least allow you to select all the GPX files in the one folder and feed that to his conver...

Re: Android Geocaching Apps

Well, got my Galaxy today, put Cachemate on there and um, what has happened to import speeds with this app? My Poor Palm used to process the import file with 5k records in a few minutes, the same number of records has taken just under 4 hours and it is still going!! That's raw GPX's I am importing, ...

Re: Bookmark list of Archived National Parks Caches

It could be argued that a Geocache is not litter. The generally accepted description of litter is something discarded in an untidy manner. Couldn't agree more. Back on topic, check out some of Team Webguys archived classics for your list. The Alien Outpost series in particular was one of my favouri...

Re: Syncing Palm to PC via BluTooth

You can't proove a thing!

Besides, I'm not convinced at how good caching software is on that platform, I love cachemate, I don't need it to show me how to find the cache. I want a robust database like cachemate that keeps my history, gives me the info, is easy to use.

Re: Syncing Palm to PC via BluTooth

Sadly, no WiFi on the T3 Palm.

I'll either have to install the virtual XP and do it that way, or, start to put the cachemate upload files onto the memory card.

Re: Syncing Palm to PC via BluTooth

Damn, I can't live with this, 63 minutes to sync the palm. And, because I don't have much room left on the T3, I need to sync twice to get all of NSW into the damn thing, only used to take a few minutes via USB. Sadly, USB asint supported under 64bit OS. Pffft
