Re: Logging trigs but stealing other people's photographs

Hmmm. The metadata for both photos indicates they were taken on the same date.

Re: More Verses for ICEM?

For those driving regional roads, especially after the rains... I'VE SEEN POTHOLES EVERYWHERE (The ballad of the central Victorian roads) . Well, I was humpin’ my bluey on some rain soaked Victorian road When along came a Holden with a bogan family plus one load “If you’re goin’ up to Echuca mate, u...

Re: More Verses for ICEM?

Yep, give it a go. The more the merrier and it's another goal for cachers to pursue.

Great work. Well presented and quite watchable.
Is this just for the forum at this stage or free to post through some of the facebook groups?

Re: WherIGo as an Augmented Realty cache option

Not sure if it will have any bearing on discussion but there is a new series of 150, or so, whereigo's in northern Vic. No doubt they will be a popular target when the mega event comes along next year.

Re: Looking for people to help create an Australia wide series

Hmmmn, not enough interest initially, so I'll give this a bump for anyone else to chime in. Without raising a new discussion on which is the best forum for news and contact, how many GCA cachers regularly read the forum posts?? Are they not seeing this thread because they don't check very often. I ...

Re: Looking for people to help create an Australia wide series

Count me in. Echuca, northern Vic. I'm good for about 100km radius in Vic or NSW.

EDIT: I, personally, have no real interest in DZ. However, I'm happy to hide caches if it benefits DZ players and anyone else who happens to pass through my little part of the world.

Re: How many is too many?

I'm happy to retain Locationless as a category but I do believe there should be some curbing of the number of worthless caches such as "take a photo of (something that can be found just about anywhere)". Perhaps putting a limit of the number of locationless caches a cacher can have active at any one...

Re: GCA or GA?

Personally, I always refer to "us" as GCA even though the cache codes start with GA. But, like everything else GCA, you play/say the way you want to play/say.

Re: What Three Words

... then you could be anywhere up to 7m off the "expected" co-ordinates. That's a decent chunk of space to search. Based on the number of newbies that expect a cache to be at exactly zero, maybe 7m is a bit too far. I think you can drill down to a 3m x 3m area – just need an extra char at the end. ...

Re: Any opposition to geo-name changes

Everyone plays their own way. Play your own game and don't worry about what others think. Keep your name. It means something to you and it doesn't matter if anyone want's to read something into it.

It's interesting that the same cacher has logged finds on almost all his own locationless caches, too.

G'day faeries, I received the below by direct message from a well known geocacher. Is there any chance a Faerie can assist Kay to get access to her account? https://geocaching.com.au/cacher/o.kay I can supply an email address if required. G’day mate, I’m writing on behalf of my friend Kay who cannot...

Re: Unarchiving movables?

I think it relies on the cache owner to post an "unarchived" log.
I'm sure the site admins can also unarchive a cache but the volunteer admins do not have that access.
