Re: Malaysia and Singapore
There is a little chain of caches around the new port area, that are un-related but an easy-ish walk in the heat. Many ACT cachers are logged here!

Re: Paris, France
We just returned from Paris today, having found 29 caches in Paris and Burgundy. Most in Paris are quite difficult to find with the buildings making the gpsr readings all over the place. Its very necessary to understand the hints in many cases, so do the translation on Google before you go looking o...

Re: Geocaching Africa?
:D Well we are back from Africa, and amazing it was, both to visit (again after 30 years) and for caching! We found caches in South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya. First the ones in SOuth Africa are professional and very findable. There is one on top of the mountain ...

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?
I have noticed the following situation happening a number of times and wondered what the attitude of other geocachers is to it. An “experienced” geocacher goes to try to find a cache which has a number of DNF s on it. They decide the cache really has gone and place a new cache at GZ and log a find....

Re: Australian Power Trails
If 10 caches maketh a power trail, we did two PT's today before noon. One of 11, and another of 18. That also means that there are at least four I can think of in the ACT alone. Now a real power trail has a lot more than 10, and can be done sequentially walking, biking or driving. Doing our first 15...

Re: Vietnam/Cambodia
We have just returned from a weeks motorcycle tour of Cambodia, which was truely awesome if a little hot. We found three caches in and around Angkor Wat easily and each was special in its own way. The containers were generally very small (with one exception at Ta Nei, the Temple of Butterflies, in a...

Re: Australian Power Trails
We love Power Trails. The question is, when is it just a "series" and when a PT? For the want of an argument, our view is that a PT needs at least 10 caches. The longer they get of course the more difficult it is to maintain them. There is quite a good one between Canberra and Cooma, but it needs so...

Re: Australian Power Trails
I like the new ACT one, a lot. Nice walk, well prepared and circular back to the car. And it can be ridden on a mountain bike.

Started with an Etrex Legend which is fine if your vision is good but the screen is now dying after 11 years. Now have a Mont ana but would love it to have WiFi!

Good suggestion on the latter. I was wondering how secure the traditional caches are from being muggled.

Geocaching Africa?
Anyone had experience geocaching in remote Africa? Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Tanzania? I'm heading that way soon with some trackables from Oz.

You have run out of green or black cammo spray paint... And you turn to a roll of duct tape instead!
