Re: iPhone Geocaching App V2.3

Unfortunately the yanks still can't handle time zones outside their own. Any logs lodged directly from the phone will have the date in the US at the time of lodging, not the date here.

Are you saying the app only runs for 5 mins before is closes, running V3.0 Regards Mr.Coffee. No, it crashed on startup until I reinstalled it. Since then it has run perfectly but I've only had it running for 5 minutes or so before closing it. The post above mine suggested some instability. I was s...

I had to reinstall after the 3.0 software update to stop it crashing on load but it seems stable so far. I have not had it running for more than 5 minutes though.

There are a couple of significant improvements, the biggest being the ability to import/download into the app your pocket queries. This allows complete paperless caching even when ...

I have mine in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It obscures nothing. It also requires less time to check than one mounted in the dash. Perhaps our roads ,intersections and signage could be simplified to less reflect a pile of spaghetti and then nav units would not be so necessary? I feel ...

I have actually been giving this some thought myself recently. Start ramble: In the early days of caching, long before I began, there was an abundance of great locations for caches. There were few caches so you could put more effort in to each. Skip forward to today and every lookout, mountain top a...

If I only wanted to spend 200, I would just buy a yellow etrex from Dick Smith. However if I wanted to spend $500, I would buy an Oregon, and save up for OzTopo maps later. I love the Oregon So when u say yellow, do you mean the H ???? $500 is waaay over my limit. Thats why I put the upper limit of...

Hard drive manufacturers normally have a utility on their websites for copying the drives. I believe the Western Digital one was a custom version of Acronis. They should be a free download.

Re: gallileo gallilee

Seriously, do we really want spot on coords ? It takes away the "search" bit of a find (sometimes) :D So long as it's close your exactly right. As time and finds go by the ability to spot a cache or likely hide improves. Thats what it's all about.:D Wouldn't be much fun if all you had to do was fol...
