Re: Scouting Cachers

Camstal, you won't have to look far for the geocaching base as it is right behind/beside JAM FM.

Re: Ideas for Scout Geocaching activity

Until the scouts know how to operate a GPS properly and fully understand what Geocaching all about you need to keep it simple. Even though a 'Scout cares for the environment' I have found that this is generally not the case when they are looking for geocaches. Particularly more so when there may be ...

With other Global Navigation Satellite Systems to be up and running within the next few years (Glonass, Galileo, Compass) the relying on the American GPS will be lessened. Ok those with current GPSr units will not have access to the new systems but you will soon see handheld units capable of receivi...

The hardware has exactly the same specs. The only difference is the preloaded maps.

Internationallly there are a few different versions of the 400 depending on the maps preloaded. I think Australia only has the 400c which contains the bluechart (coastal charts) map data.

Xbox 360 for me. Currently playing Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty World at War - both excellent games. Also play the odd PC game at the occasional LAN get together with friends. I too couldn't be bothered with the continual upgrades. For me the Xbox 360 tips the scales because of the online side of...

Gee how accurate this is. My birthday song was "Joy to the World" by Three Dog Night.

Now that's just stating the obvious.

I get next to nothing. I do get a listing as the chairman of a body corporate on the body corporate managers website. However I have not been chairman of this body corporate for about 8 years. Oh and apparently I was a casketbearer at a funeral in the states - or was that my evil twin  Thes...

Both the soap and the container are the issue. I have even seen water in Systema containers which are probably the most used in Brisbane area. Water it seems can and sometimes does get into. And then you have the issue of people not putting the lid back on the container properly. Why put something i...

Soap in Caches

Can someone please explain to me why people place soap as a swap in caches. Over the past few weeks I have come across at least 3 caches that contained soap as a swap. Each of these containers was not waterproof and the soap had become a gooey mess. The log books were unable to be written on and the...

Team members in different places logging finds on same day

Most geocaching activity is conducted by myself or by me with other family members. On the odd occasion the geowife and kids have found a cache without me in attendance. We have had the situation this weekend where the kids have been on holidays with their Aunty, Uncle and cousins who are also geoca...
