Easter Mega Event????
Easter is fraught with problems for any event organiser.... It is a date where there is usually significant family commitment and it does not help that the world shuts down on Good Friday. Long weekends are better BUT not all long weekend fall on the same day in differing states. I ran a convention ...

What it takes to run/organise an event (precis form)
This is gonna be a long post...... I run events/retreats/conventions on a yearly basis for different focus groups. (i do not get paid for this and am generally a participant as well) Having said that, in my NOT so humble opinion, I do not believe that there is enough corporate support, nor community...

I purchase my magnets from FRENERGY Magnets.
I have purchased many times and have found him to be good to deal with. At least he is in Australia so I can talk to him!!
It generally is a good idea to purchase as a group to minimise shipping as they are heavy!
Cheers

We have just spent last weekend setting up a geocaching "interest day" for an organisation that I am involved with. We have used a couple of existing caches and placed a bunch of temporary hides (in the style of real ones). One hide is in such a good location, that it is now listed. We also have pla...

And the Garmin 60cx gets my vote too.
I have a Garmin 60cx and only use it for routable work from time to time as I have a Garmin Nuvi as my main navigator.

Sitting them both side by side, they work equally as well (to be expected) and after using the 60cx for a bit, I have on occasion turned the voice off on the Nuvi. (it can...

I have been asked by the police on one accasion what I was up to. Admittedly, if I saw someone ferreting around a garden next to a decorative piece of machinery I would be a bit sus too. It was after all, 1:30am (trying to avoid the schoolboy muggles that infest the place before and after school).<b...
