Re: 246 caches found in 24 hours by a team of 3

Holy thread revival Batman...but I didn't want to start a new thread for what is just me having a whinge. (Remember this when you reply - it's just one bloke having a whinge on the internet, not an international trade negotiation, or Syria.) This is the closest subject matter match I could find, bec...

I'm with Rabbitto. It's more like Amway than geocaching, and I don't get a lot out of hearing that some guy in Bumblefsck, Idaho has just planted the state's second terracache in the middle of a corn field just because we happen to be in the same 'upline'.

SAW is the first movie in a LOOOOONNG time that had me trying to guess "who did it" right till the end. The credits were just about rolling by the time it was revealed. I say revealed because I am yet to meet someone who worked it out. Meet me. I watched it on Saturday night and worked it out. (spo...

Probably because everybody else just goes to http://isnoop.net/gmail/ and takes one of the 1,061,153 invites up for grabs.

I searched to see if there was a thread already, and figured I might as well recycle those electrons. There are only 10130 of 'em, you know ;)

Well, I stumbled across this today: http://maps.mynrma.com.au/TouringMaps/Data/ The link to a PDF map on the main site didn't work, so I googled for the filename (australia-7.pdf), and up popped this handy directory of .bsb and .kap files along with the usual PDFs. I guess they're for the TravelWiz ...

A cache every 15 minutes? It's taken us 1,630 days to find 44 caches, so that gives us an average of 53,345 minutes per cache. If slower is better, do I get my prize now? ;)

We only swapped when we were with the kids, but even they look at most caches these days and say 'great - more marbles, glass beads, golf balls, plastic dinosaurs, stupid stickers, another lanyard...". It's all TNLN these days. If the kids do want to swap for a particularly alluring piece of plastic...

I still don't get the big deal about SD cards. Why would you want the whole of Australia at street level with you anyway? Do you regularly finish a cache in Dubbo then fly to Darwin? Might be nice for the novelty factor of being able to zoom in on Kalgoorlie when you're in Kiandra, but it's not part...

Unless you really need to use an SD card, why not save some money with a SporTrak Pro? It's got more than enough memory for all the maps you'll ever need, will support routing when it's out in Australia, and is smaller and sexier than the Meridians (which look like the bottom of somebody's boot). On...

Lie. Tell them that your guide Lobsang lives just down the road from the virtual cache, walks past it every day on his way to the local Tsampabucks and that he'll make sure the national park doesn't move suddenly.
