Make sure your computer has a serial port. I think all desktops do, but an increasing number of newer laptops don't! serial to USB takes care of that. Thanks for all advice folks.... 2 questions.

1-Can Caches be sorted online in categories of dificulty? I can't seem to find a way.

2-can waypoints be loaded onto a Garmin Etrex (the 180.00odd$ yellow one)

I've never encountered problems operating my laptop on a flight although some airlines (singapore airlines especially) won't allow it. <p>Hmmm, my Paris trip was with Singapore and they offered WiFi in business class. This might not be 'proper etiquette' but why not, when comming upon a Cache located in a 'rubbish/dog wee 'n poo/thornybush area, leave a note to 'log your visit' on the website and mention that fact... gives others an idea what to expect and the 'owner' a chance to clean the area or relocate it... ...
