Unfortunately your GPS is purely for street routing and from a quick look at the Garmin website you cant enter waypoints (only POIs) and then access them with detailed compass pointer which would normally take you up to the cache location.

I have the Meridian Platinum and I love that GPS to bits....but, I would not trust the temp readout as its NEVER accurate. As for the barometric pressure readout, I never really used it. The electronic compass is essential for caching as far as im concerned!
