Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Hi,
Looks like some database functions are not working at the current time, including retrieving caches and other obvious things?
Is it just me ? I'll try later.
Thanks

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Is there by any chance some issues with the database at present? I recently created a new GC cache (GC409V6) 3 days ago, but it has not shown up in my Cacher Page, nor did it show up in the daily new caches email? It replaced a now archived cache that was in exactly the same position in case that i...

Is there a time frame for the API? I'm tempted to have a go at that if I can find the time.CraigRat wrote:................. also the back end stuff I've written to do this will form part of our API that other app providers will be able to use in dedicated caching/nav apps.

Re: Mobile Site browser testing, please help
The new site came in particularly helpful today. I went out to find a couple of gnomes, one of which was quite small and in an area with many possible hiding places. Fortunately, I was able to access the hint and found the cache immediately. Without it, it would have been a DNF for sure. (Thanks Cra...

Re: Mobile Site browser testing, please help
Doesn't work on the N95 with the standard browser (no geolocation supported), however, it does work with Opera Mobile 10.1 beta 2.
Looks promising. Now when I out somewhere unexpected, I'll be able to find out if there are any GCA caches around.
Great work.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Hi - Published a cache (GA2994) on the 19th, but it didn't show up in any of the daily updates since. Is that because you don't get notification of your own caches, or might something be wrong?

Re: Open Caching
Tried to create an account mainly out of curiosity. It said my "display name" was invalid, although no such field was asked for and no diagnostic was given. I suppose it meant my "handle". Maybe it doesn't like spaces. Maybe I'll try again later, maybe not. Good news about the GC API and up and comi...

Strange as it may seem, I almost expected this thread. Happy Chappies put it very well indeed and I sincerely concur.

Re: "Sent from my mobile device"
I too am disappointed at very short logs or the canned "iphone" message. If the maker of the app had been more concerned about the feelings of the cache owner, the message might have been something more along the lines of "Found this cache at hh:mm - Detailed log to follow". You get the impression t...
