Re: Flash lights

I've got a bit of a thing about flashlights. 8-[

I have a small Petzel headlamp, keep a tiny Fenix E01 (one AAA, 10 lumens) in my handbag, and also have a Fenix LD10 (single AA battery, max 100 lumens) and a Fenix PD30 (awesome, 2 x CR123 batteries, max 220 lumens). The PD30 is great at night.

Re: handmade items for swap

I haven't made any swaps, but have swapped small pre-loved treasures in the past. I've often thought I should get off my butt and make some tiny, stuffed felt animals.

You don't need to swap; it's mainly folk with young kids who do.

Re: For the pedants amongst us ...

Cute blog. I'm no pedant, but I am easily annoyed. I cannot stand the gratuitous apostrophe: "three cache's" in lieu of "three caches". [-X

Re: Anyone out there have dual nationality?

Thanks for your feedback, pjmpjm. I really appreciate you sharing your perspective. I let it all slide back in the 80's because of the lack of clarity about the American view of dual citizenship, and since then life has sort of interfered. Now the kids are grown, and often travel themselves, it conc...

Re: Anyone out there have dual nationality?

Thanks for the info - though I had to cut, paste and enlarge the tiny line of ants at the end of Rhinogeo's post so I could read it! I knew there'd be another American hiding here somewhere - that's the sort of information I was after, Team Wibble. And yeah, I'm used to the jokes. It all c...

Anyone out there have dual nationality?

I'm an American by birth, though I've lived in Australia since arriving here with my parents as a teen about a hundred years ago. Was checking out the citizenship requirements here, and the passport renewal requirements for the States and am wondering if I should go ahead and become a dual national?...

Re: Geocachestore in Australia still in existance?

Hope you get things sorted out. I haven't used the geocachestore before. I've long been a fan of geoswag.com. Great service, fast delivery, even though it's from the US.

Re: Power Trails: an (ammo) can of worms

Stopping every 161 metres doesn't appeal to me, but I'd be happy to do a cache at every roadside rest stop/rest area I pass in Australia.

Actually, that would make a great series - 1000 caches that circumnavigate Australia.

Re: Garmin - A tale of woes!

I second the Invisible Shield screen protectors - we've got them on lots of devices. The one on my 60csx has been there for over 3 years and it's still perfect.

Half-price Sistema sets

Just back from Woolworths, Camberwell, where the Sistema 6 packs were 50% off. It's $8.65 for:

1 x 2 litre
1 x 1 litre
2 x 400 ml
2 x 200 ml

Don't know if they're on special at all Woolies, but if you're at the supermarket today, keep your eyes peeled!
