Whoa! I'm in the ACT, my centre comes out near Broken Hill, but I've NEVER been caching around there. I guess it's the influence of the dozen or so finds I've got in the Northern Hemisphere - SuperJaz and I have the same finds in NT, and her centrepoint comes out near Cootamundra. Fascinating trivia...

I've seen a couple of comments about Map Monkey's new avatar. Can anyone tell me what it looks like? All I see is a blank square with a red 'X' in it....possibly a 'feature' of browsing from work?

Hi Darren,

I just finished listening to this episode, it's a great episode. Well done & thanks very much. I wasn't going to enter the resolution competition, but now I'm inspired!

Cheers,

Re: Nano caches, eh? Discuss.

There's been a surge in the popularity of nano caches in the ACT recently....I find them a complete pain... Santa brought me two nano containers for Christmas, along with a dilemma! Having stated my dislike for nanos, I'll feel like a hypocrite if I hide them. I've also thought about putting them i...

Reading all of the above, plus previous discussions, it seems to me the message out of this is that hiders should place the largest container the location will support.
And that if you think carefully and are clever, you can probably hide a bigger container than you first thought :o .
...

Nano caches, eh? Discuss.

There's been a surge in the popularity of nano caches in the ACT recently. I don't know if you have any in your area, but there are two types in use around here, both screw-together cylinders about 1cm long containing a 'log scroll'. The type that's become popular has a magnetic base. I find them a ...

Okay, another idea...Display number of finds and ranking. Ouch! That would certainly cause pain to the server... we will inevitably end up with stacks of admin requests saying 'I have x finds and it shows only y finds....' I didn't seriously think it was realistic to do rankings - I assumed it woul...

Okay, another idea...Display number of finds and ranking. Ranking could be of people who've logged a find in Aust, or of GCA members. I'm sure this could be derived from C@W stats!

Well done Darren, another excellent episode. The audio of 'Daylight' is surprisingly listenable (I'm not sure if that's a word? Oh well, it is now!).

Very enjoyable, don't be slack, lets have another episode or two before Christmas so that we can listen to them while we're on the road.

Thanks!

However, if we ARE to have stars, I suggest that we do away with the 50's. Why? For some cachers it takes a long time to notch up 50. All cachers should be recognised not just those with high stats I agree with Tronador, if we are going to have stars keep the 50s up to 500 - when you're starting ou...

The whole thing about my wife insisting I spend at least *some* of my spare time with our children  Plus work, taking the kids to their saturday sports, work, cooking meals, minding the kids while my wife goes out, ironing, damn I'm too tired now. :( Oh, and being a one car family (and very un...

Thanks C@W, that makes sense - although it's still showing 5 for me, but I'm assuming this is a caching thing (by which I mean computer memory, not hunting for lunchboxes!) or something similarly technical.
