Re: Potential NZ MEGA Event 2012 - is there sufficient interest?
The Rats would love to travel across the ditch especially if caching is involved. Add a mega event and we'll be there.

Re: How many chances??
Since I havent been getting emails from you Greg, its not me.
But after 2 unsuccessful emails to the finder I'd delete their log. I recently deleted a log on our earthcache cause they hadnt complied or answered my emails.
Got for it.

Re: Chasing Records / Group Stickers Sufficient to Log a Find
I look forward to hearing some feedback from Matt after this occurs. I have called Matt and we have had a discussion and cleared up any misconceptions there may have been. We have both been able to see the others point of view and how words don't necessarily reflect intent. To all team members of t...

Re: WHO will host the next OZ MEGA event?
We thoroughly enjoyed the mega event and I take my hat off to the Riverina committee, but the Illawarra isn't the place for the next Mega event.

I'll contribute the fact that they should be a bi-annual event, unless they are across the Tasman one year and then back here the next.

Re: Constructive Feedback for the Next Mega Event
pleeeeeeease can this thread go to bed ? :-# If you dont like it Mr Router, dont read it. :-" Onto the "AAR" as we call them in the SES. I was going to send my feedback directly to the committee but thought I'd post it here too. Like many before me, for our (Australia's) first Mega Event the commit...

Re: 10th anniversary Cool things to note!
I feel like a youngen' when I see some of those c@w stats and I started way back in Jan 2002. My first find and the closest cache to home was 30km away and whilst the the owner is no longer a cacher, his cache is still active today. Today that same 30km radius has some 278 active caches hidden in it...

Re: Amusing things seen, or heard, at Oz Mega.
The late night run into town to finish a 5/5 was amusing for those that participated. Some of us had a few drinks around the campsite. :-" I was fine, just the rest of my body was in a state of confusion. My daughter had one of those classic one liners that kids have. Upon her return to our ...

Re: It had to happen at sometime
I must have a target on my head because I seem to have attracted my fair share of run-ins with the establishment. Even as recent as a trip to Wagga in February we were stopped and questioned on our movements. At the time the officer had no idea what caching was, but since we had gps's and headlamps ...

Re: Smartgpx on a Nokia
I'm slowly warming to the smartgpx app. Like Rhinogeo sai, there is a steep learning curve. My first trip with it and I came back hoping to upload the field notes but since my gpx query was created using the cache name and not the code I wasn't able to upload them, but thats all part of learning. I ...

Smartgpx on a Nokia
I'm using smartgpx software on a nokia N97, which I must say is great. My problem is and I hope someone can help, is exporting my field notes. I export them to a folder in the memory of the phone, but the folder seems to be a closed or a hidden folder. Its icon is a closed folder while all the other...
