Emergency+ app
I've come across an app called Emergency+, it is available for iOS and Android devices. It was developed by the NSW SES but can be used across Australia. Of particular interest to geocachers is that it provides a lat and long for your current location in the format of degrees and decimals and the ad...

Re: GeosportZ 2012 - Questions and Clarifications
Will you be able to revisit a cache that you have already found and logged, say a month ago, and claim the revisit for a requirement in this game, or do the finds for claiming a requirement for this game need to be first time finds?
Any more hints?

Bring on the games =D> , last time the games made for some good bragging rights and intersting stories \:D/ , for the winners, and for those who competed in the individual sports. Plus it got a lot of teams working together in a great community spirit. I' d say that the strategising has started in t...

Stop and ask yourself how this person is in a position that they cannot spell well. Please stop picking on people that might not be in that position by choice. Yes, covert, I am a person that has trouble with spelling and grammar, I'm dyslexic. However there is a simple way to overcome this problem...

Re: Visiting from Chicago in July
G'day A KiteFlyer Yes, there are some caches on Kangaroo Island. We have a regular event - Pub Lunch/Dinner - in Adelaide and the organsier (The Barramundies) should be able to get one up to fit in with your visit. I suggest trying some of the most recommended caches in and around Adelaide. PM sent.

... you are driving along and see a windmill. Your thoughts/actions are: slow down, count the blades, and you don't worry about the cars behind you objecting to you slowing down, or double back to find a convenient car park and jump out to take a photo; run through your mental list of windmills requ...

I'm sorry to hear that your streak is coming to an end McKee's. However I can understand how you feel. 365 days straight is a wonderful achievement, and you will be the second Australian cacher(s) to have reached this magic milestone, well done and congratulations. I know, from experience, the amoun...

Re: McKee Clan GeoStreak Update
I'm back and still going strong. Now up to day 344. I am having problems with a log for the cache (Shepherds Hill CITO) visited on October 9, hopefully all fixed now. November 18th will be 365 days straight, can't wait - I'm hoping that I'll get find 3,000 that day, a number of slow days in Victoria...

Re: KMZ files link
My two bob's worth: GEO-TRAIL!! :-k [-X With everybody using basically the same path to GZ you would soon have a defined path leading to the cache. Potentially a better way to go would be to provide some key waypoints, at a significant tree, a saddle or a usable creek crossing to make the way in eas...

Re: Real or Bogus cacher "dadandadd"
They've been very selective little beavers if they are legit, with cache finds spread from western Victoria to Eyre Peninsula, that I could identify. I came home from a weekend of caching to a log for a find on one of my out of the way caches in the Clare Valley (GC1PV8M), dated 5 July 2009 which ma...
