Caching with Nokia E51

Can anyone tell me if I can geocache with a Nokia E51 phone. I don't think it has a GPS in it - can I attach my GPSr to it somehow to get 'live' geocaches wherever I am? Sorry if this is a dumb question - our techno skills/ knowledge are VERY poor

The tears are streaming down my face :D

Your legs and arms are constantly covered in stratches and other geocaching injuries from tree branches etc. (and you didn't even feel it) 8-[

Re: Moveable Cache Race

We've certainly been left behind in this game too - for some reason we have had several DNF's - not sure why. But today we had the privilege of finding and moving Mobility Stealth - this deserves some sort of award - it's hilarious! =D>

Re: Snakes, Snakes, Snakes

Mrs matmob was absolutely paranoid about snakes, however after several sightings whilst caching has become slightly (ever so slightly 8-[ ) desensitised. We always carry bandages in our geocaching backpack. Apparently snake venom is carried around the body in the lymph glands, not the bloodstream - ...

Re: 2010 news years caching resolutions.

Our resolution is to NOT find caches which have been put out for the sake of putting one out, with no purpose, nothing to see, nothing to learn. We actually did this for the first time in Pt Lincoln SA recently. See SA thread "When enough is enough"

Re: Request to Archive a Cache

From what we can read from the cache logs, you should definitely NOT remove it. These are the type of caches that we love - out of the way, scenic, somewhere you wouldn't perhaps see otherwise. And as you point out, the current logs do not suggest that cachers are being irresponsible with their acce...

We have to agree with Webguy. There seems to be quite a few cachers out there who are intent on getting their 'hide' numbers up, and as a result, caches are often micros simply because they are inexpensive and require little or no maintenance. The main reasons for a micro as far as we can see are a)...

Hi Shonkylogic Thanks for calling in to the PO recently and saying hi to Mr matmob. I recently downloaded your maps, no problem downloading, and no problem getting it to the GPSr. We used it to find our first cache in a rural area using a map and found it fantastic. However, when we switched the GPS...

We were a similar problem with our RAM mount in the car. We filed off a couple of mm off the front corners of the cradle. It goes in and out fine now, but still tight enough not to fall out.

You don't need to buy from overseas - GPSOZ stocks them and their prices include postage.

On our RAM mount the tight fit wasn't to do with the button on the back or the hole in the mount, but rather the base of the cradle. We filed off a couple of mm off the front corners of the cradle. It goes in and out fine now, but still tight enough not to fall out.
