Hi mumof2 and welcome to our passion, I have an Etrex Legend too and together with GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife) it has proved to be a most suitable solution.

What ever unit you end up getting I am sure you will have fun getting out in the fresh air and enjoying some quality family time.

How freaky is it that my mother-in-law's name comes up with "Vicious Tongue" ..... maybe they know her too !!!!

I have a similar problem with my Ledgend due to constantly putting into and taking out of a ram mount cradle. I will watch this thread for any other solutions.
