Re: Google Earth kml of all caches

Thanks caughtatwork ... that has fixed everything for me. I didn't think it had been that long ago that I had used the old link. All good now though \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

Re: Google Earth kml of all caches

Do you mean the live feed that updates as you pan around? If so, go to GE -> Add -> network Link and add http://geocaching.com.au/caches/available/au.kml in the Link section I have often used this kml on Google Earth, but for some reason it hasn't worked for me over the last few days - I have no id...

Re: This may launch a cat among the pigeons

I would say I am sick of people complaining about how others play the game ... if you don't like it ignore it, don't go tattling to the reviewers for crying out loud as they have better things to do than listen to your whinging.

As for date format, doesn't everywhere in the world use the same except for the USA?

Re: We're coming!

Spoke to my son-in-law in Perth - he installed an Apple TV box for his TV to run through and gets both Netflix and Hulu. Supposedly only takes about 20mins or so to set up.

Re: "Throwdown" or "angel cache"?

However some people might want to dress it up, you could only call it cache maintenance if you have either previously found the cache, or you don't claim a smiley for it - otherwise it is a throwdown.

Re: Report GCA Site issues here

There is always this GSAK macro to check for multi-finds: http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtop ... entry69986

Not sure how you can clean the info though before importing the info to the GCA site.

Re: I'm New to Geocaching

Hi Loey5150 - welcome to geocaching. You will find quite a few caching teams that live near Springwood hang out on the Geocaching Brisbane facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/groups/122436932974/ We know of a few teams out that way who are really friendly and would likely be more th...

Re: Those Badges and those Darned logs!

You're not the only one who dislikes waffle in logs for the sake of word count - unless it is reasonably interesting and about the cache experience it shouldn't be in the log.

Crew 153, the Saint that he is, has bookmarked lists for all archived caches in Australia by State - that should help you out! \:D/ =D> \:D/ =D> \:D/

We won one of those GPS units at the last big event - can't say we like it much, even for a freebie!

Re: Newbie looking for a cache buddy to get started

There are a couple of Facebook groups you could join - some of the members can be a bit zany but the groups are very welcoming and you should be able to find someone to cache with. Try https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/122436932974/ or https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/303346609684914/

Re: Forgotten to log caches.

We have been caught on a number of occasions where we even remember the on-line log we had written for the find, but months later the log does not appear on the cache page. Sometimes, the log has appeared as a note, but more often there has been nothing!
