To bring you up to speed with what is happening in my quest to solve the problem with the loose band on my Etrex Vista. I went out to the Johnny A shop and they referred me to the Garmin Rep here in Brisbane. They don't repair them here in Brisbane; they have to be sent to Sydney and that will take ...

Protective band on outside of Etrex Vista

The rubber around the outside edge of my Etrex is now loose, stretched and perishing as the glue has come loose. Has anyone else had this problem and what do I do about it? Should I try and send it back to Garmin for repairs but that will mean I won't have it for a couple of weeks? Can I just get so...

Also some cache owners like you to re-hide the cache within 24 hours so that it isn't taken out of play for weeks at a time. I know this doesn't always happen but it is the ideal.

Don't expect that feeling of elation to go away cos it doesn't; even after you have found quite a few caches.
GET OUT NOW OR YOU WILL BE FOREVER HOOKED. [/size]
It is like a drug. You will be a jibbering mess like the rest of us if you can't go caching for quite some time and need to get out ...

If you go to your report of your find on the Duck n Dive page and do an edit of your report which is below the report, you should then get a window where you can upload a picture which should be on the right hand side of the page. Go thru the process of putting up the picture by answering the questi...

Well, I need help. I have downloaded the free 30 day version of BeeLineGPS for now and loaded it on the PDA but it gets to the stage of wanting to go back to the computer to find the GPS. What does this mean and do I have to have something else on the computer for it to read? Help needed.Any ideas??

All those things above and a piece of wire to get those pesky micro caches out of holes that your hand won't fit into. I have had to use it several times, bent with a hook on the end.

I bought a Garmin Vista Cx on Ebay and it came from Florida and I have had no trouble. The GPS is brilliant and I saved $100 or more and it arrived in about 4 days from when my Paypal money arrived in the US. I use the OZ maps; Shonky and Mapsource so have no problems.
