Uh-oh... Looks like I'll need to get one of these as well now!! Been reading a little on the forums and such and it looks like I might just grab one of the 4Gb models and buy an 8Gb SD card to run Windows on with any small apps on the HDD itself so I can leave the default installation there ...

run regular PQs but if going outside of the normal area will run some for that particular area just before I head out... Generally the IPAQ is updated every couple of days with VIC caches and the GPSr if we're heading somewhere in particular...

I managed to get my hands on an old phone but just haven't had any time of late to put into working on the resolution as well!!!

Well our plans for this year was to get back into the thick of caching with 2005 taken up with our wedding plans and the big day itself... This year was tied up with other things at home (like looking after it and furnishing it) so hopefully we'll have some more time next year! We're planning a trip...

Also, would the ebook format option work in the phones (a tickbox down the bottom when generating a pocket query)? It seems to be written in the right way..?

Wish I had one of these phones now to test!!! Wonder if I can find one here at work?!

Thanks TeamBeanDare. I just ran a pocket query and got 105 records but they still want to download as a LOC file. Will give it a rest tonight and have another go in the morning :? As Riblit pointed out - you will need to specify the GPX format for the pocket query. When creating a new query - there...

Not sure if this will have any effect but is the Nokia browser capable of reading standard html pages and if so, how big is the page you're generating out of GSAK? Have you tried loading a smaller file (say just one or two pages)? Have you tried saving it into either WML or xHTML formats? I remember...

I'd recommend doing a custom install and unticking the 'quality feedback agent' though... always felt nervous about companies that sell it as a 'feature'...

Just my opinion though...

Sounds like it needs the vendor drivers to get it working (even under Windows XP) which is surprising as Riblit already noted, Windows XP is pretty good at recognising everything... If you're not sure of the vendor, you could try runing a Windows Update and check the hardware section to see if Micro...

I've found quite a few caches via the 'convoy' on many GC events that I have been able to attend such as DJs High Country events, the VIC end of year get together (2005), Biggles Bear's 21 Again, etc... I have also found them in smaller self made convoys when we have been out 4wding in nearby and no...

Looking very good there Embi!!!

All you need now is a fridge for the beer that you'll be drinking while sitting in the spa!!!

Although I think having showers and spas in full view of the front door may cause some concern for the posties...

If it is your own cache then you may wish to remove the old log book, or not, but if the cache is big enough then it's more interesting for subsequent finders if they can read the old log entries.
