Re: How many people still visit the forums
I wonder if that has to do with the quality of caches these days? When I started, every cache was amazing! If a newbie starts and finds 3-4 mint tins, maybe they are discouraged?

Re: Trig points - a general discussion
Well, I recon that Pialligo trig is a trig… Others may beg to differ. It is listed in the ACTPLA website as a trig of type MC, and it has a tall coloured pole, that can be accurately sited from a distance. – Now if the tall pole wasn’t there, and it was just the short yellow poles, I would say it wa...

Re: Trig points - a general discussion
OK, so there have been a number of ideas tossed around as to what does, and does not constitute a trig… But no definitive criteria… So maybe some criteria can be set? Now, I’m by no means an authority on trigs (although I have found about 70, of which I have originally published around 20), so here ...

Re: Trig points - a general discussion
Well – even if they still had the knowledge – they would have a tough time! What, with many trigs now long gone, and yet others very obscured… Check out this little beauty I found! (Bendora Trig!) http://geocaching.com.au/cache/tp5303 - I was 10m away, and I couldn't see it! - I'd love to see a surv...

Re: Trig points - a general discussion
So given that the Geoscience site seems to have ommissions, and other sites are not perfect either (they have too many ex trigs listed), maybe we can decide on what a trig can look like (or constitutes a trig), and use that! - Hey, GCA could end up with the most accurate real/existing trig database ...

Re: Trig points - a general discussion
I would like to know what is required for a “trig” to be published as a trig? Some say that a trig is whatever you want it to be… ie, if you think that it is a trig, then it is a trig… Well, I am not entirely comfortable with that definition. For example, if someone grabs a gnome, and places it on a...

Re: How do you do ....... (GSAK)
I currently have 16 databases... I tend to create a new one at a whim. However the main ones are: 1. My Finds (including corrected coords for multies/puzzles) 2. My Hides (including final coords) 3. Unfound nearby caches (gets deleted/rebuilt frequently) 4. Ready to find (contains caches where I hav...
