Re: Caching vest
For sheer carrying capacity check out the Rufus roo jacket, never mind a ten inch netbook this sucker will carry a full size one and nearly everything else. Unfortunately the only fashion statement it is making is towards the airlines luggage policy ripoffs. ..|. http://www.etravelblackboard.com/ar...

Re: OZ MEGA ALBURY WODONGA
I had accommodation booked at a local B&B (very conveniently located for the MEGA - for those who don't like camping), but I have had to cancel my booking for the Easter weekend at short notice as I will be house-sitting for someone in Albury. Therefore, if anyone wants accommodation from Good Frida...

Re: Geotalk podcast Episode 80
 Thanks Norkmeister for filling in the gap - it saved me looking it up - I was starting to feel rejected (like when the current affair shows give stats for everywhere except the ACT!), but I know it wouldn't have been intentional... but for a moment there I thought that the ACT had the highest ...

Re: Any ACT Rotarians? (actually any Rotarians...)
OK, I have just been given some extra info as to why the question was raised... so really this post may interest any Rotarian & not just ones in the ACT. I would have put this post in the general area if I'd realised, but it probably will still attract the attention of the target group here. A call ...

Any ACT Rotarians? (actually any Rotarians...)
I've had a question put to me, so I'll refer it to the general community...
Are there any geocachers in the ACT who are also Rotarians?

Re: Geotalk episode 74 - geocaching podcast
Thanks for another great episode.... especially great when I'm a winner! Thanks so much. But come on folks... how come there were only 2 of us that bothered to enter?! The odds were definitely on my side. As an aside (and to set the record straight!) I did know the kangaroo was grey when I made the ...

Re: THEME for personal 2012 Oz Mega Event PATHTAGS..
Perhaps that means I'll need 2 tags??? Or one tag with both a platypus and a cod (and a cat!). Time to start getting creative....

Re: THEME for personal 2012 Oz Mega Event PATHTAGS..
OK so is there a planned theme for the next Mega yet? From the listing it looks like the platypus is pretty prominent & I tend to like that (although TD has already gone with the cod idea). I'm not sure if the committee have any ideas or preferences (or if they are monitoring this post).

Re: Emails when your cache is logged
This is an interesting question - I don't like the idea of being able to turn off logs in toto, but I do really like the idea of getting a summary email instead of lots of separate emails - especially if it could be combined with the one with all the new caches placed. I get bombarded with emails & ...

Re: Development time / cost for your website
Wow - a very impressive contribution to the Aussie caching community! Thank you so much. BTW - I'm working with an organisation at the moment to develop a new work based networking site & would love to have the skills/experience of you guys - I keep comparing their product with the GCA site & see so...

Re: Potential NZ MEGA Event 2012 - is there sufficient interest?
All being well, I'll happily attend BOTH events - regardless of what is happening in Australia, an Oct date would suit me better as I hope to get to Rotorua in March for the 2 day walking festival there and then there is the 2 day walk in Canberra with Easter the week after, so it will be a very bus...

Whilst brumbies sounds interesting, I think they'd end up being a bit too small once scaled down to fit on a pathtag - the apple idea would probably be easier to accommodate...

Re: The New GCA Cache Icons Poll!
Well I liked the new ones - perhaps I just like changes to keep things fresh. But I won't get hung up on it if the decision is to revert to the old icons. However, I especially like the letterbox option that I hadn't noticed previously - the old icon was not intuitive to me.
