Re: Logless cache idea

I'm not sure what specific feedback you are looking for. If it's community getting behind it, there's only a handful of people who bother to visit the forum and respond, and we all seem keen. If it's containers, there's been a number of those mentioned that I think are great ideas. I think it would ...

Re: Logless cache idea

the forced archiving is a brute force way to address the situation if there is no-one maintaining the cache. I see your point there. A good one too. If the CO is fond of the location, they could always return with a fresh container once the original Ecocache’s time has elapsed. This could also prov...

Re: Logless cache idea

I love that this discussion is coming back up. I have a few thoughts that are still forming in my mind, but one in particular: Depending on the materials you choose an "auto archive" after 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 24 months, etc. Can there be an option to replace the cache after [x] months?

Re: Clans

You could also try and recruit existing GCA players and entice them from their selected clan. Note that they would need to be manually reassigned to their new clan. My dear Gullivers, may I entice you to join Griffin? It might be more beneficial to you in the near future. ;) :griffin :griffin :grif...

Re: Earth Science Cache - A new geocache type at Geocaching Australia

Just reading about the biosphere here Ideas for the Earth Science breakup are in the Wikipedia listing https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_science#Earth_science_breakup it reminded me that "Follow The Rain" is now on Netflix. It's a great film on fungi hunting. Made by my old neighbours. They do all...

Re: Earth Science Cache - A new geocache type at Geocaching Australia

I love it! Thanks =D> I've thought for a while that we need something that doesn't just cover anomalous geology like GC ECs, but environs also. I like that this covers all 4 realms. I have a couple of ideas already. Just need to revisit the sites to sort out questions and answers. Fingers crossed I ...

Re: Report dragonZone issues / problems here

New dZ issue/problem... On the dragonZone home page it displays stats for Members, Caches, dragonZones, and States. Why have we got 61 more dragonZones than exist? It says we have found 642 out of an existing 581 zones.

Yes mine was like it for weeks but has fixed itself. It might have been when I went up a percent
True! As soon as I went up to 16% it corrected itself.

Update: Apparently it works on my android phone still and it is not just a historic page it is showing me, but current. My Mac laptop and a friend's iphone and windows laptop still have error messages still.

Re: TrigPointing

I was contacted today by someone I've volunteered with at BlazeAid in the past. I'd spoken to them about Trig Points and my passion for finding the forgotten ones out in the bush. He sent me an image of one he found today on a farm just south of Tenterfield. Obviously, being private property, I can'...
