I'm not sure anyone is going to see this here because not many people are replying to posts in the forums these days, but,
I've added a new log to each of my mmmm caches with additional hints to help people solve them during game period.

Cornchip Cache! Yuuuummmm!
They won't last long, especially if hidden near me.
Or maybe Code Cache?

Re: Earth Science Cache
I like the idea of it being like the earth axis tilt. I also like the bars being shifted left and right - it reminds me of shifted tectonic plates. Therefore g1783 has my vote.

accurate information but at the same use simple Same time? While Geocaching Australia offer a separate form for the completion of the Q&A by the visitor to gain the appropriate codeword for logging, you must ensure that the same questions and answers are available in your Earth Science Cache descri...

Re: Logless cache idea
I published a multi yesterday and it now somehow requires a code that I did not put on it, cannot remove, and cannot edit to give it a codeword. Any tips on what I should do or what has happened there?

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
And here's a sample of geocaching and trig hunting footage I have: youtube.com/@downundergeocachingadventures/videos I have a heap more footage from geocaching adventures that I never got around to turning into vids. Happy to share some with anyone who wants to play around with editing something tog...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
Apple/mov files are perfect. The Benbaum views look amazing! You walked up that??? I'm surprised you didn't blow off the top of Ben Nevis. haha. I could picture footage like this and from other trigs could be stitched together to take you on the journey from sun up to mountain top to sun down... han...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
Would gathering a bunch of footage from various trig hikes by various people but still generally following the script be acceptable? Instead of Medium shot of a group of Geocachers setting off on a mountain trail, excitement on their faces. it could be a compilation of a number of people going on th...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
It's good to see ideas being shared already. It's happening! As I read the above script I couldn't help thinking it wasn't much like some of my most recent trig hunting adventures. They were more like getting caught up in vines, scratched up by branches, picking up leeches and ticks, blood and pain,...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
I agree that we should share our stuff in common file formats such as mp3, mp4, mov, jpg, png, and pdf because we could all be using different software but these formats work on all...I think. I have up to date Adobe Creative Suite which includes stuff like photoshop, premiere pro (both of which i k...

Re: Earth Science Cache
I think not being too strict with the definition is important. I like how Wikipedia breaks down Earth Science into different ‘spheres’ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth_science#Earth's_spheres . People will be able to create these caches for fields that interest them, so it’s good to have a wide ...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
Dropbox has free 2GB accounts and I think OneDrive has 5GB. I'd have to create a new email account to use Dropbox free. I've got plenty of room to play on Google One though. I recently had a video editing job that used frame.io and I've heard good things about it. But I'm not sure how much it costs...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
GACacher is fully integrated (obviously). If someone was up for this we could work on a set of scenes where we grab screen recordings of (say) opening the app, logging on, get the list, show the screens, follow the arrow, log (add image), etc. Then we can either voice over or text over. I use this ...

Re: GCA Social Media - Calling for content creators - Geocaching Australia
And I've got over a terabyte of geocache adventure footage, never seen by anyone but myself and I'll never use, that I'd be willing to share. Probably a third of that would be actual GCA caching.
