Re: 900 Lumen torch - any good?

Well, I went in for 4 flex with 2 buddies of mine - care to do any maths?

You can hit me up for one perhaps if I ever get them!

Re: 900 Lumen torch - any good?

Well, being a complete geek, I'm giddy with anticipation to receive my HexBright Flex. Was a kickstarter project that I backed which closed last year in July. Reportedly only at 500 lumens, but open source, rechargeable and just plain silly. The thing has an accelerometer on it so that you could (fo...

Re: Anyone know what sistemas are made of?

I've used JB Weld (especially good for magnets) but I'm always gluing to the base which does not flex.

If it's not going to get wet Liquid Nails is a cheap and easy solution

Re: Premium Member only caches

Figurehead and Southbank have survived the CBD without being PM caches. Collectively they have accumulated some 1,600 finds. Good point. I am also aware that Figurehead has moved quite considerably at times from one end to the other. This is, of course, another matter entirely, that being that cach...

Re: Premium Member only caches

I recently went to a great deal of effort to place a cache in Melbourne CBD which I chose to make PM. Why? I am concerned of the caches longevity given it's location, and would prefer more subtle and experienced cachers have the opportunity to get it, rather than "any fool with an iPhone". I mean yo...

Re: Top Caches in the world

I agree that the fav points are one thing to look at, but the % is a better indicator. This is especially true with some of the more difficult caches, as well as the newer ones. A cache published in the last 18 months is unlikely to have been found more than a few hundred times so is probably not go...

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

The counter to that is, I sometimes edit a post 4 or 5 times in quick succession (especially if it's a long one) as I reread and notice typos etc. It would be very annoying to the CO if they got emailed each time. True, although the option to be able to receive edits would work, would it not? Simpl...

Re: Minimalist Cache Logs -- Opinions Wanted

Reading me email this morning, someone has just gone through an area where I have a few caches on my watchlist and just logged "1" and the next "2", then "3" and so on. That's a bit poor I reckon. Makes "TFTC", or "Found" seem like War and Peace ! Check back in a few days - I had the same issue a w...

Yes - the haste - that's how so.

I understand there was a less than cordial relationship between Sven and the local reviewers.

Re: RIP Sven

I hope this has nothing to do with the contents of one of the last videos he posted of himself about a month ago... the rant in the car. :(

Strange instant reaction from groundspeak too...

May the hiding guidelines in heaven be a little more relaxed, and the GPS signal always perfect. RIP.
