WAAS
We nearly fell over with suprise this arvo as we saw WAAS in place of the averaging display.(magelan meridian) We were only meters from our Lookout fischer cache (1100 mtrs alt) when this happend. Only briefly though!!

I believe if you are going to place a cache in an area that is remote and not frequently visited make it one hell of a container that can with stand the elements of its location. G & M G & M mmmmmm..... I say dont forget about the MAGELLAN- MERIDIAN!!! Had mine since week 2. Clear screen, user friendly, basic operation and SD card. 20hrs use with NMHI. No colour screen, just simple ..and it may not always come in first, but then the scores usually add up to WIN.

It seems I have gotten lucky. My Meridian was communicating with laptop through the converter and was able to send and recive waypoints. both in Aussie and Mapsend. Still no Go
I have checked all the settings, still it does not detect the GPSR when I start the log. Still send and recieve waypoints, tracks. Even autodetect tells me the GPSRis there. I just get the settings might be wrong and the unit may be broken message. The baude rate is fine, Nmea is ON. Still stumped.
