Would it be possible to install the OS remotely ?

i.e. setup a little web-console box, with a serial connection to the servers and install over the net ? Might be a bit trickier to setup, but a lot cheaper than shipping the servers to Tassie first.

I agree, oddly it's the McToys that are most often picked up by my kidlets, but toy animals, cars and marbles have also featured.

Personally, I rarely swap, as the finding is the interest for me, but like many others I like to have a peek at what's in the cache.

Yes, if the cache is still of the same sort, and the change in location minor, then it's the same cache.

If it's been moved more than 50m (or so), or the size / type has changed, then no, it's not the same cache.

Given my last one was a Magellan Tracker (circa 1998), maybe my opinion might be a little biased.

The paperless caching works great, and combined with CityNav and OzTopo maps it's pretty much the perfect solution.
