I tried to make a donation, but it requires me to sign up for the shop. The signup page is *not* secure and thus I don't want to enter my details into it.
Is there another way to make a donation?

Re: GA Cacher Issues
Had it happen to me today. Working fine this morning, then started crashing whenever I selected a cache. After trying several things, I cleared the app data which fixed the problem.

Re: Geocaching story on 7.30 last night
I've been saying "kaysh" for the last 30 years since I first studied computer hardware. So my instructors must have been using it for a while before that!

Re: "Invisible ink" and UV torches
I can't actually remember . I think it was a no name brand pen, and better quality laser paper. The text wasn't that bright under UV which is probably why it was invisible under sunlight. The brighter pens (e.g. ones that glow red) were not very good.

Re: "Invisible ink" and UV torches
I bought a pen/torch combination which was supposed to enable you to write an “invisible” message which would be visible using the torch. I assume the ink fluoresces when subject to the “UV” component of the torch’s light. This worked fine when I tried it inside. I had planned to use this in a mult...

Re: Oregon 450 issues with multi caches
Those caches load fine on my 450t. Firmware 5.50 I have had the occasional crash on loading descriptions (one of the CCC caches comes to mind), but fairly rare. Have much more trouble with crashes on the first boot after updating GPX files (despite them saying they'd fixed it). I do have a lot of ca...

Re: Munzees!
Their effort is even greater when you consider they come from Wagga and most of the munzees there are probably their own, so they have to travel far and wide to score. At least they can capture each other's. Around my way there is little interest - I had to go out of town recently to get my munzee ...

Re: Oregon 4.5 update problems
Hi Dingbat12, just updated my 450t and all is well. I have had the problem with caches disappearing (usually after the GPS gets stuck after loading more gpx files). I think its due to loading too many caches at once - I never used to have the problem when I had fewer caches loaded. Anyway, I have to...

Didnt realise you could use ZIPs directly. Even better now I don't have to clean up after updating . Thanks!

Re: Garmin Asus A50 - Software
I had the same error, and I found it was related to GPX files. As soon as I loaded some GPX files (either local or SD memory), the phone would load them into 'Where To? / Saved locations', and then the problems would start. I've now switched to Geo Hunter (which uses its own database, not GPX files)...
