Re: Library Geocaching

I've placed library caches before, even ending inside a library.

The issue with this one on GC was the connection with an organisation. As soon as the member of staff with the information is in I'll get onto fixing this up :)

Re: Library Geocaching

I've had success registering two multis ending in libraries as a private individual without any affilitation with the library (beyond permission to place it) however I had to do a lot to get it past the moderators. Fair enough, really, but in this case while the cache isn't actually indoors we've ru...

Library Geocaching

Hi there, long time no see... I work in a public library and with an investigation theme we wanted to have a couple geocaches operating. We ran into two issues trying to register it on the groundspeak site - first tying it into a promotion (even a totally non-commercial one) and second proximity wit...

Re: TB advice

Issue seems to be resolved, other cacher didn't realise that it hadn't been logged out of the Tasmanian cache. So all is well :)

TB advice

Hi, just wanted to seek advice from some more experienced cachers. I recently discovered a TB in a cache in SA - its previous log had been two months prior in Tasmania when it was dropped into a cache there. I logged that I had discovered it, assuming this was the right thing to do, but later reciev...

Re: Caching with pets?

My only pet is a fish. He doesn't seem very interested.

Re: Autorouting problems

Hi there, thanks for replying. I've checked my settings and they do match the ones you gave me. The area I'm in, however, is not new. I'm not aware of any significant changes to the roads in the last fifteen to twenty years. I've only had a GPS for a few days (previously google maps were my friend) ...

Autorouting problems

Hi there, I hope I'm putting this in the right place... I use a Garmin GPSMap 62s with TOPO Australia & New Zealand maps. I've found that some - but not all - of the dead ends in my area are being autorouted through. The map appears to show that the route is not passable in a car, and I have checked...

Re: Cycling Observations

I see all kinds of stuff out cycling too - though today's most unusual was a giant sheet of plastic hanging off a road sign and all the way across the bike lane... far from the strangest ever, but unusual anyhow.

Re: Where are we all from??? (introduce yourself) parts 1&2

Hi there, I'm in Adelaide SA, just started geocaching in the last week or so. I confess that I don't actually own a GPS just now, and can't really afford one  , so I've mostly been group-geocaching which has been a lot of fun. Had some success with more urban caches and printed google maps tho...
