Re: What geo software is available for Macs?
I used iCaching for quite a while before I finally succumb to loading Boot Camp on my Macbook Pro just so I could have GSAK.

Re: Those Badges and those Darned logs!
Well I admit it. Guilty as charged your honor! As a newbie, sometimes the cumulative enjoyment of finding multiple containers on a single day is greater than that of any particular cache. There is a saying that "Happiness is not a destination, but the journey." Cutting and pasting this experience o...

Re: Coords in Word file to map?
I got gsac to do the export to macro last night, excellent, is there a way to get it show proximity from one point to the next closest? I also worked out how to get it to strip the gc from the cache codes, so I can load a heap of caches onto my êtrex h. Very happy now!!! There is a macro for that t...

Re: Coords in Word file to map?
If you have GSAK, import them into a database and use the Google Maps macro, it does a great job and very simple to use. If you haven't got GSAK .....get it! But what if he is a MacMan? You know, those sensible people unlike those Windows folk..... :P What wizardry? Crapintosh :P Windows is just a ...

Re: Those Badges and those Darned logs!
I would think that this is a pretty good equation representation of what most of these people go through: RoF + W + QL ≠ T Rate of Finds + Work + Quality Logs ≠ Enough time. I know for a fact that many of these logs are put in place because these users do not have any time to write good logs. They m...

Re: Archiving my cache
Thanks for that! I have given your advice some consideration Lemmykc and I will leave it there. I do prefer an Australian run and Free caching organisation; which is why I posted here. But after a month I did think that somebody would have thought a 2K walk there would not have been too far; should...

Re: Archiving my cache
"If you decide to change it to a GC cache, make sure you archive the GCA counterpart as duel listings are quite bad." But that is what I asked - How do you archive a cache! I'm only new to this, but have read all about "double listings" - this is the reasoning behind removing it from GCA to GC. Oh,...

Re: Archiving my cache
To archive a cache, click on 'log this cache' and then choose the log type 'Archived'. I checked out the cache in question and I would suggest not archiving it as it looks like it is in perfectly good shape. The fact that it is found rarely is irrelevant to the decision about archiving a cache. It i...

Re: Caching games this year?
I love the idea of "wheels"... would prevent mint tins, and give us something incredibly embarrassing to have to find and walk away with in very public places. All the elements of a good moveable! Bikes, wheelchairs, ride-on mowers, kids' toys, etc... would be a heap of fun. =D> Who ever said it wo...
