Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Small issue I've just noticed with the integration of GC logs with GCA logs - seven of my recently logged finds on geocaching.com are not showing up in my GCA statistics. I log my GC finds on geocaching.com, and they usually show up here on GCA within a few hours after I've logged them on GC - here'...

Re: Different icons for different GPX file caches: possible?
I haven't installed or used GSAK as yet. Would there be a way to do this manually? I'd early tried adding this line, in order to try to get it to show a red block icon for these caches, but it didn't change anything: <sym>Block, Red</sym> Here's something I tried instead: using a text editor I opene...

Re: Different icons for different GPX file caches: possible?
I compared a few GPX files and found that the code used to designate the icon is: <sym> For example, GC files use: <sym>Geocache</sym> <type>Geocache|Traditional Cache</type> <sym>Geocache</sym> <type>Geocache|Multi-cache</type> GPX files from GCA simply use the following, which generates a differen...

Different icons for different GPX file caches: possible?
I'm using a Garmin device here (Dakota 20), and have made several different queries to create different GPX files for different types of caches, e.g. moveable, traditional, trig points only etc. Is there a way to make these show up on my maps or geocache lists with different icons? e.g. a way to edi...

Re: How to get GPX fiile of GCA caches working in Garmin Dakota
Thanks for that helpful info. I found a workaround: I set up a GCA Query, and when this was processed, instead of choosing to download the GPX file and transfer it manually, I selected the GPS option which sends it directly to the Dakota, and makes them show up as geocaches instead of waypoints. Too...

How to get GPX fiile of GCA caches working in Garmin Dakota
So with the help of some wonderful advice from the folks on this forum, I'm now the proud owner of a Garmin Dakota 20! I'm very pleased with it! But I could use some help: how do I get it to load the Recommended GCA geocaches? Here's what I've done: From this page, I chose "Download GCA Caches as: G...

Re: Current GPX files for Australia
But you could be a trail blazer and get out there and hide GCA for the masses to find \:D/ Perhaps indeed! To what extent is there interest in virtual caches? I notice that there are not that many in W.A., and I'd possibly be interested in adding a number of these for my coastal town (Albany, WA), ...

Moveables: can you log them more than once?
Today we found our first moveable cache - yippee!!! My question is: once we move it to a new location, and someone finds it and moves it again to a second location, may we find it at that second location and again log it as a find, then move it again? Is there any limit to how often we can do this? ...

Re: Cache alerts: GCA only?
The features on GCA are outstanding. Honestly! Now only to increase the number of caches! Unfortunately only a dozen GCA caches are within 350km of where I live (Albany WA), and there's barely 100 altogether in the entire state of W.A. Given that GC caches show up on GCA searches anyway, what incent...

Re: TrigPointing
How active are people in logging finds of TrigPoints? Quite a few that I'm seeing have no logged finds. The wiki gives some helpful info about TrigPoints - do I gather correctly that the stipulation to include a picture of the trig point along with your GPS receiver is quite strict, or isn't it abso...

Cache alerts: GCA only?
The settings for Cache Alerts : do these only send an email for GCA caches, or for geocaching.com caches as well? (I'd like both, but I'm suspecting that alerts for the latter can only be obtained by premium membership at the `other' place). And "radius" is presumably from the "HOME" location as set...

Re: My Query: which results are GCA caches only?
Thanks! What do all the different options mean? I can figure out three, but not the rest:
Count: total caches found
GPX: caches in GPS Exchange Format
GMAP: caches show on Google Maps
