I have just got a MIO P550 which is a PDA and GPS in one unit. I have installed Oziexplorer and GPX sonar on it and all seems to work well.
It came with 2 navigator programs on it as well

I found my first 400 caches with a 315, they work pretty well except there is no mapping. I also used it to run moving map in Oziexplorer without any problems.
it is very basic but reliable
Cheers and happy caching

Mix I have one of the cradles with the built in GPS. Works fine. It looks a bit flimsey but I have taken it most places.

It depends on where you live. We live out west and we do what we can. No matter what the rating. We have a go coz we have done the rest. So I suppose it comes down to location.

Hasn't this whole deal been caused by over regulation. Once you formalise it further you have to police those formalities

In the past this idea has fallen over because of lack of support but if we start it now with everybody hot under the collar will it be sustainable in the long term

They can be useful but have to be used in the right situation. It 's a costly exercise if its not really a life and death situation. Some body once told (I don't know how true it is) that people can be held responsible for the cost of the rescue
