The problem I had was originally when I copied some text from another web site, which when I couldn't post due to errors, I saved in a word doc. I carry a small LED torch, assorted geocoins & a multi tool card & thats just for day to day travels. When caching you can add a bum pack full of swaps, digital camera, binoculars, pda mobile phone & of course GPSr.

Public property vs not so public

I was wondering what the technical difference is between hiding a cache in a public park , hiding a cache on a university campus & hiding a cache in a garden which whilst is available to the public access is technically on private property but has no fence surrounding it in regards to when permissio...

We were newbie cachers less than 2 years ago but didn't know about the forums then. Forunately we found out what we needed from the FAQ pages & a couple of local cachers. However I do think that it's a good idea to have a a newbie info area. Also I think that a little more attention could be drawn t...

We use a Garmin GPS60 basic model which has mapsource software, USB upload, we also have a DC power cable for trips & windshield mount. which has a dedicated geocaching mode but is cheaper than the 60csx but does not have maping software. But still an excellent entry level GPSr.
