Re: Australian Power Trails

To me, if you are an individual cacher you go to each cache you are claiming and sign the log. :!: If you haven't been at the cache site and claimed a find you are a cheat, and just cheating yourself. To me it is black and white. :-# At least I know that the caches we have done we have been there. W...

Re: Australian Power Trails

Talking power trails, I was told about an incident that happen last weekend on a power trail at Stanthorpe where a couple of cachers got together and one did the evens and the other the odds and logged each others names. I just wonder who they are trying to cheat. Themselves or the rest of the cache...

Re: Bogus Logs (dog108 is logging caches without finding them)

Looks like Nexus69 has been busy. Showing 19 caches logged today all around the world and yesterday around a 100 in Europe and the USA. Mostly virtual's. Takes all types but you would have to wonder why. [-X

Re: 'Theft' of trackables - it's getting ridiculous.

We won't release anymore trackables either. We didn't have many. A couple of coins we have the better half photographed and printed out and laminated. They moved for a while but have disappeared as well. At least we still have the coins. As was said some of the TB's aren't worth anything but they ar...

Re: Telstra & Telstra Dealers

Got to keep on them even though we shouldn't have too. My first bill was for $352.00 when it should have been for under $100. After being transferred to 3 people it was reduced to $31. This month it is $46. I cannot follow it. I am not complaining this month though.

Re: Telstra & Telstra Dealers

Yep, not wrong. Had a bloke come to the door with a Telstra deal. Questioned him about rates etc as I knew what we already paid. It was too good to be true so changed to Telstra and got screwed. Told we would get ADSL2 and got 1500 speed. It goes on. Told them to send the salesman back to me so I co...

We love our's as well. Have read on the GC forums of people saying they are having trouble downloading way points but they are there. It was the settings. Check to make sure you have the latest firmware as well from Garmin.

I run GSAK on my computer and Cachemate on my PDA. It works well. I send the GSAK GPX files to the folder on my desktop then I import them into my PDA through Cachemate.
There are 2 versions of Cachemate. One for Windows based PDA's and one for Palm's.

Thats expensive for international postage. Looks like we will just pick them up from Wally World after all. $236.00 plus tax there.
Unfortunately the special finishes before we get there. :(

Special finishes 26th November but would have US base map. Also tax would be about 10% but still a cheap unit.
Could then load T4A or buy a mapsouce product and load. Thats what we are going to do. :?

Better half has an eTrex Vista and it would not accept a transfer from GSAK. Turned out the date and time were way out. Year was 2025. Got on to Garmin and they emailed me a fix and now GSAK works fine. Hope this helps. :?:

I bought the better half an eTrex Vista because of the extra memory. She is enjoying it. Seems to have everything you need as well. At least she can go her way now.
