on which batteries does it run? looks good ... The one I have runs on two AAA batteries... and is fairly economical. It has a telescopic lens, so you can have a bright point for distance or a large dimmer spot for area, it also has two brightness settings, as well as the strobe which seems standard...

You're driving in the country and you spot a tree with lots of bark bits lying in the same direction at its base, so you do a U turn even if there's no cache listed...

Cachers, have a look in the catalogue at http://www.anaconda.com.au/Specials.aspx page 16 I have one of those Tactical 1W telescopic headlamps, it almost doubles as a data projector it's so bright. Who wants to hold a flashight in their teeth when you can have one of these jobbies! Good deals on GPS...
