Re: Send pesky a Postcard turns 6!
I keep meaning to get on to this one - but I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to GCA locationless caches... I start to sit down and go through them and get to about the second page where my eyes glaze over and I decide to go out and just find a regular one instead... ![Razz :-P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Re: Oregon Question
Has anyone else with an Oregon had an issue with boot time since the last update? Every time I boot my Oregon it now seems to take forever to load the .gpx file. Hopefully it isn't just me, but equally hopefully someone knows a solution! I find the first time it starts up after replacing the geocac...

Re: Cache contents
I almost never swap out items (I had recently but only for frog items that I just had to have to make extra Leapfrogs! ). Sometimes though I drop in items without a swap out (golf balls and marbles picked up whilst caching in particular) My first cache (currently destroyed) and its spare t...

Re: Garmin Montana - Power Surge on Hub Port
Thanks CraigRat. That seems to work. Well, I unplugged the printer and put the gps in there. Was it not having the printer that made the difference/ Or was it using a different port that helped? Anyway, all good now \:D/ If it's an unpowered USB then the total current drawn by all devices has to be...

Find 200 in a 24hour period. Been meaning to do this for ages but keep piking after only 16 hours. check out the woodlands 100 series near Melbourne airport. that ought to get you started. That would have taken me about 12 hours on foot (11 for the 81 available at the time) but where to get the oth...

Re: Improving Moveable Caches
And the GCer made two great logs; the greater log to rule the found, and the lesser log to rule the move (with coordinates and a good hint) whether thee moved the cache or nay. And the CO saw every thing that thee had made, and, behold, it was very good

Re: copying PQ directly to GPS?
As I recall I used to manually download and copy individual GPX files to my Garmin when I first started, renaming each one to their GC/GCA code.gpx Ugh! Painful! Then I discovered GSAK and never looked back. It takes a number of geocache entries and creates a single GPX file. It's only available for...

Re: Newbie thread: Which Garmin handheld GPS to buy?
The main concern I had with the Dakota 10 when I was first looking at GPSs was lack of expansion - so you rely on the internal memory for storing everything. The new eTrex20 is within your budget, a new model, seems similar to the Dakota10 but expandable (micro-SD), even longer battery life and can ...

Re: Leap Frog registrations are now open
Hehe, .......It was a tough task, but it was fun sneaking into the bushes to pick up a small bag replacing it with 9kg worth of frogs :D  :frog :frogette Yes, the 9kg package I had to lug home via foot and public transport was quite a surprise to me  I think Morton was 8.5 kg of tha...

Re: What's Next for Leap Frogs? Your Opinion Please!
Many of mine seem to be in my query range, so I was thinking of probably retrieving to avoid the lingering fate of the ignored moveable... One of mine has gone AWOL - muggled presumably - wouldn't want that sad fate for the others. Plus I can hopefully reuse the container/log next year! ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Improving Moveable Caches
The Found + Moved logs seem to work just fine, but only when both are used. Perhaps a requirement for both log types must be entered (even when replaced in the same location) - say a nag email to log the moved entry? Or a entry for "found and replaced" that adds two logs cloning the coords and hint ...

Re: Final Leap Frog Finds Stats -- Please Check In
A query from a cachinggames.com race newbie. What's the protocol for post race moving caches? Should one let them loiter indefinitely (like several Gegnomes), or gather them up and archive them if/when possible and ASAP?

Re: Final Leap Frog Finds Stats -- Please Check In
Oh, and a few Gegnomes
- bonus points? That was half the number of those I managed to find during the 2010-11 race!...
(oooh - nice of them to have my signature pathtag as a smilie!)
