Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo
Richary I see how your poor gnome has been sitting at Denistone since day one! I must try and get down there. I've moved a few locally but am struggling this season with work so I've been guilty of transporting gnomes around in the car for days without placing them. Thankfully they're currently all...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo
Sure, sounds like a good compromise. New rules added. If the GeGnome has not moved within 7 days and you were not the last geocacher to find or move it then the "rule of two other finds / moves" does not apply and you are free to move the GeGnome again. If the GeGnome has not moved within 14 days, ...

Re: GeGnome ][ Electric Boogaloo
Mrs. pjmpjm now says she wants a gnome too. However, she won't place it anywhere, because someone might come along and take it away!rogerw3 wrote:

Re: Report GCA Site issues here
Having made a couple of GCA finds in Mount Victoria, NSW today, I checked on my status as 'Mayor' of that lovely Blue Mountains locality . . . To my amazement I found, for the first time, that I'm actually Mayor of both Mt. Victoria, NSW and Mount Victoria, NSW! Much as I'd love to keep wearing thos...

Re: Purge of missing movable caches
Nope, we have nothing to help you I'm afraid. As we don't know if you "found" it or "found and took it", we can't help you work out what you do or do not have. I guess you could possibly do a search on all GCA moveables you have found, and then check the logs to see if you have either moved it afte...

Re: Purge of missing movable caches
Around 200 or so movable caches across Australia have been archived in the last 2 or 3 days . . My 'Red Bison Frog' has just 'returned from the dead.' \:D/ Had it in my hands on the weekend at an event in Kings Park in Perth WA. Always good to see a cache resurface =D> Thanks for the feedback, spat...

Re: Purge of missing movable caches
On the subject of Movable cache cleanups. i have a suggestion for something that may help. as we are a community driven game. why not devise a event/game that would not require new moveables to be created, but rather score points ofr finding, and correcting old moveable caches. to give people and in...

Re: Do cool caches grow legs (via geocachers)?
Hi all, I'm finally ready to start seriously hiding a few geocaches, but I'm a little hesitant to put too much effort in. I mean... Have any of you experienced having your cool containers (ammo cans, creative containers) go missing or get replaced with little plastic boxes by fellow geocachers? I c...

Re: Is Geocaching Australia worth pursuing?
I'm not ignoring the feedback, I'm watching and waiting for more of it. There is more discussion also in the private senate forum where a lot of the points being raised here and via Facebook are also being discussed. To answer a few factual questions, so they don't build up too much. All this respo...

Re: Is Geocaching Australia worth pursuing?
I'm an extremely keen GCA cacher and would be devasted if the organisation folded up. The maps are very useful and I use them in preference to the GC site. And the statistics are unique. Finally, what on earth would we do without trigs? I always find and log all GCA caches within reach, have placed ...

Re: Congratulations on 5000th GCA Log! rogerw3 in NSW
Congrats should go out to our hard-working rogerw3 for his 5000th GCA find yesterday, at the Narrowneck Old trig station. He had to walk 20 kilometers to achieve this goal and, if you add up all the walking he's done in recent years, both placing and finding caches, the trail would lead 2/3 of the ...
