Re: 24 Hour Geocaching run in SA
Good on you for beating the previous record, and obviously the powertrails set up in SA have made it possible. But I am sure you have issued a challenge for the magic 500 There was a previous record?! Yes the Powertrails certainly made it happen as far as i know there is nowhere else in Australia t...

24 Hour Geocaching run in SA
Hello there! I am re-posting this for all of you that are not part of the many Facebook pages that go on behind the scenes. Team Indiana08 and Team PacketStorm recently visited South Australia on a quest to find roughly 300 caches for the week. What they did however turned out to be a little bigger....

I've used liquid nails in the past which seems to have done a pretty good job on it.

GSAK Offline geocache logging
Question for all you GSAK Ninja's! I am currently exploring using GSAK for our geocaching adventures. So far so good. One question relates to the logging of caches, When you double click on the area in-between the little man and the 'lg' field on a cache in your list, you are presented with, a 'Note...

Re: Logging caches on the road / How do YOU use GSAK?
Thanks for all the replies people, I will look into the software packages that you have all mentioned. Regarding the Smartphone, I / We do have a smart phone but i feel that it is much harder to keep track and log on these little devices. Not to mention that coverage is usually an issue (yes even wi...

Logging caches on the road / How do YOU use GSAK?
After finding many caches from my very primitive ways of triangulating myself off trees from a google map. To sending one cache at a time to my GPS, and now running pocket queries, I'm looking at a more simplified way to deal with discovering geocaches. Our current setup: Garmin 60Cx + iPaq rx1950 R...

Re: Great geocaching torch
Ive had a few torches from DX that i use geocaching, sadly i dropped them once or twice and that was it, game over.
No amount of re soldering would fix the thing.
Going to buy a quality light.

Re: Archived because of danger (or not)
I agree it shouldn't be archived, There was once a cache in Ballarat that Indiana08 and i attempted, "Who Dares Wins" It said that if your not careful you may end up in the middle of the midland highway. It was under a overpass on a very steep concrete slope. It was a fun cache that sadly wasn't the...
